According to the ladies (and Gilderoy) he's handsome and brave. He's the author of many books about his exciting exploits and constantly talks about himself. He comes to Hogwarts as a teacher for Defence of the Dark Arts in from Harry's 2nd year. When called upon to face the creature from the Chamber of Secrets though, Gilderoy packs his bags and seems to have something more important to do - far away Hogwarts. |
