HARRY POTTER DICTIONARIUM

 

Gryffindor
 

Harry's house, those put into Gryffindor are brave at heart and daring. The animal is a lion, the ghost is Nearly Headless Nick, the colours are scarlet and gold. Professor McGonagall is the head of Gryffindor House. Their Quidditch robes are scarlet. The Sorting Hat says:
You might belong in Gryffindor, where dwell the brave at heart. Their daring, nerve and chivalry, set Gryffindors apart.
