Centaurs have the head, torso and arms of a human, joined to the body of a horse. They are intelligent and capable of speech and their ways are very mysterious. They dwell in forests and have their own magical means of hiding from Muggles, so they don't need any muggle repelling charms to hide them. They live in herds of up to 50 and are reputed to be skilled in astronomy, divination, healing and archery. |
