Perfect for the car-loving toddler!

My 19 month old son LOVES cars. We checked this book out from the library and it is definitely my son's favorite book. I put it on my Amazon wish list, so hopefully someone will buy it for us. We've renewed the one we have 3 times now! :) The book has a lot of simple pictures of cars, simple words, and even a bus. My son gets very excited about the last page which has cars, a bus, and an airplane. My Car is a bedtime story request almost every night.

My son received this as a gift when he was about 18 months old and absolutely loves it! It is a regular favorite... he loves the graphics and simple story line. He is almost two and loves to recite some of the lines and point out things in the nice, colorful yet simple pictures. Great book for boys!

New Favorite book 2007-04-12
My 17 month old son loves having this book read to him and pretending to read it. He already loves cars, so the subject is great. It has bright colors, the pages aren't too busy, and the words are simple. Great book. We have the trucks book too. We also have the trains book, which he got for a gift and is also great.

My husband is a "car guy" through and through and he loves to read this book almost as much as my two year old does! They read it at least once a night - sometimes more! It's really adorable. Highly recommended especially for all gear-head mommies or daddies to share with their little boys or girls!

Son's favorite book 2007-02-25
This is my 21 month-old's favorite book. As the book describes somebody doing routine things in a car, I'm able to call out to him lines from the book when we drive.
Also, the writing is straightforward enough that you can painlessly translate it into another language on the fly.

It's short but with brightly colored drawings. It's also simple enough that he can read along at least part of the way.

Great book for car lovers! 2006-09-17
My 17 month old son loves this book. He looks at it all the time and asks us to read it to him every night. The pictures are eye catching and the story is nice too. Parents magazine had this as one of their "must have's" and I can see why.
