Can Raven stop Dullsville from becoming Vampireville?

For goth-girl Raven, dating her dream boyfriend is complicated, especially because Alexander's secret means they can only meet at night. And now they must be extra wary, with Alexander's archrival, Jagger, creeping around town. Then Jagger's exquisitely pale sister Luna also surfaces—and seems to have her sights on Raven's own longtime nemesis.

Raven and Alexander must begin a terrifying hunt for Jagger and Luna's secret hideout. Can they drive them away before Dullsville is eternally threatened by these menaces from the Underworld?

GREAT! 2007-01-24
I love this book! It's so great. I'm 14, and when I read the first book, I was hooked. When I found out that there was a third one, I had to buy it. It was so worth it.

VAMPIREVILLE follows right on the heels of its predecessors, and it is strongly recommended that the previous books in the series, Vampire Kisses and Vampire Kisses 2: Kissing Coffins (Vampire Kisses), be read first, otherwise things will not make sense and you're sure to be confused and unable to fully enjoy the story.

Alexander Sterling is back in "Dullsville," and Raven couldn't be happier about that. However, Jagger and his twin sister, Luna, are also hanging around, which is the reason why Raven has started carrying garlic in her purse. To make matters worse, now that Luna has been turned into a vampire, she's on the search for her true love, and she's convinced she's found him in Trevor.

Trevor may have been Raven's arch nemesis since kindergarten, but that doesn't mean that she wants him to fall victim to Luna's charms. Not to mention her fangs. So Raven takes it upon herself to protect Trevor--after all, the last thing "Dullsville" needs is a vampire-Trevor!

Raven is also trying to deal with having a nocturnal boyfriend. She mourns the loss of Alexander's company during the day, just as she despises the school that prevents her from being able to keep the same hours as he does. The time they do have together is spent searching cemeteries and other spooky deserted areas for Jagger and Luna's hideout, determined to drive them away before they turn "Dullsville" into someplace infinitely less dull--"Vampireville."

VAMPIREVILLE is a fun continuation of the VAMPIRE KISSES series, and will definitely leave readers eagerly awaiting the fourth book, Vampire Kisses 4: Dance with a Vampire (Vampire Kisses). The writing and storyline doesn't quite live up to some of the other young adult books in this genre, but it is nevertheless an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon.

Love this series! 2007-01-05
I've been follwoing this series since the first book came out, and it seems to get better with each book! The characters have their own voices, thoughts, feelings. And there's always some twist.

Looking forward to the next one!

Excellent book 2007-01-05
This is an excellent set of books. My daughter has them all and has read them all and loves it. She can't wait to see if another one comes out.

Trivial Pursuits! 2006-11-03
Way too much about clothes, junk like that, not much to the thin plot.

Vampireville 2008-04-09
I liked the book and the series but each of them ended with me anticipating the next book. No ending was ever fully satisfied me. If you like vampire books for teens or goth books look no further. BUT be prepared to read all the books.

I'd Rate This Book 50/5! 2008-01-27
My Friends Bought All The Other Vampire Kisses Books For Me, Too! My Name Is Raven, I'm A 7th Grader, & I Loves Vampires! A Great Vampire Love Story Without The Gore!

Vampire Kisses 3 2008-01-03
This book was great. If you liked the 1st two books in this series you are going to really love this one! Raven learns more about Alexander Sterling and falls more and more in love with him.

do you like romance....and vampires???? 2007-10-03
Let's be real here ladies, there are a number of us out there who have curly toes when it comes to fantasies about vampire men. It is that silk way they have about themselves; that velvet touch, that "euro-trash" suave that tickles our .....um, hearts. But not all of this type of literature is suitable for all women to read. Ladies under the age of 18, High School ladies, need to get their warm on too. And this is a perfect series for them, and not childish. Tell me, do you wear black and red over the kee stockings, black eyeliner, black eyeshadow, black clothing. Are you the 'odd one' in your school. This speaks to this too. She is the little goul girl, shunned by most of the people around her. This series is aimed at the unique. the little goth girls of the universe, the ones with art in their hearts, and expanded minds; and without explicit sex, just some sweet kisses, and a bit of cuddling.
There are four in this series. Try the first one. And if you hate it, you can always resell it on amazon. You might find it will have a treasured place on your shelf. :E

Light weight vampire tale 2007-07-14
Vampireville continues the tale of goth-girl Raven, the wannabe vampire. In this story a new threat has come to Dullsville. Jagger, Alexander's archrival and his sister Luna, who has her sights on turning Trevor, Raven's long time nemesis, into a vampire.

Together, Raven and Alexander must begin a terrifying search for Jagger and Luna's hideout to drive them away or else Dullsville will quickly become Vampireville.

This is a fast paced read that I feel will appeal to the tween crowd. Parents will also like this clean vampire tale.

I'd recommend Twilight by Stephanie Myers for those who like a more serious teen vampire tale.
