fun, fascinating

A friend gave me this book when I was in a super slump. I was amused and amazed as the pictures zoomed away from each other how they put both objects and actions into perspective, not only in terms of size, but also in terms of time and space. The artist cleverly starts with a rooster, a symbol of cockiness, and shows just where he really stands in the giant scheme of things.

Great book for Business Leaders !

I use the book ZOOM as a way to show business leaders how their perspectives can change realities. Because it's so affordable, I buy the book in bulk and send it out with personal notes after business leadership classes to help reinforce the training's overall messages on perspective. If you lead people, add ZOOM to your business library - it's fun, easy to understand, and very transferable to the adult learning environment.

The book with no words

My daughter, aged 4, was a little bit confused at the book when it first arrived. She didn't like that it didn't have words. After "reading" it with her a couple of times, it has fast become one of her favorites.
More then once I have found her in bed "reading" this book by herself and she will still pick this book on occasion for one of her bedtime stories.

Quiet time

My boys, ages 5 and 7, love this book. It is the last book we look at each night. They read about two books and then want to look at the Zoom book for "quiet time" before they put their heads on the pillows. They have not grown tired of it. It brings such an amazing perspective to life! Some things aren't quite what they seem! Great lesson!

Adult uses for Zoom

The series of pictures in Zoom are fascinating discussion prompters and for the adept trainer (in areas of communication, leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, etc.) they pose endless possibilities for engaging and meaningful workshops about not having the full picture, the importance of understanding the world around us, or utilizing specific communication or leadership techniques to solve problems.

Thank you Amazon for the book, 'Zoom'. I bought 2 copies 2 years ago and recently 2 more from you, for my little friends and some big friends too. It has brought magic and a sense of wonder to all that look at it - and all done without any words! Brilliant.

Don't read the discription, just enjoy!

I found this book at the library and knew nothing about it, so when I opened it up, I got to experience it without the foreknowledge of what I was about to see. As a result I got to experience the enjoyment of each surprising page turn. If you get this book, don't spoil it by reading anything about it, just open to page one and enjoy the ride. Such a fun book for any age. I loved it as much as my six year old did. Mr. Banyai has a wonderfully creative mind, and this is definitely one of my most favorite wordless picture books.

Zoom Out

This book was mentioned in another book I was reading and I was curious about it, so I ordered it. Even though the title is "Zoom," it seemed to be a "reverse" zoom to me, i.e., it had already zoomed and was now zooming out. Regardless, I enjoyed the book for what it was and found the idea extremely creative. When we're having a not-so-good day because little things are going wrong, looking at this book would be a good way to help us gain back our perspective.
