A copy of a book? 2005-10-10
The content of the book is standard. Fairly easy to read, pretty straightforward, etc. However, some of my classmates ordered the real book, and it looked different than mine. Upon further inspection, it appears I have paid full price for a copied version of the book! The cover art is smudgy looking, and the pictures, charts, and graphs inside are black and white instead of color like in the real version.

The Book Every New or Experienced Teacher Need 2005-04-21
A problem with many new teachers is the availabilty of a book with suggestions backed with examples to work with students who need that extra assistance to get them going. This can range from a simple lesson to classroom behavior. Bos and Vaughn's book does this in a very straightforward and "common sense" approach. Often used for teachers studying in the field of special education, this book needs to find its way to regular education as well. I still have my fourth edition and when I work with new teachers and suggest this book, they always tell me they wish they knew about this book while taking teacher education classes in college. Like the ditionary, one should have this by their desk.

What I should have learned in College. 1997-12-19
I am at this moment beginning my student teaching in elementary classrooms and find myself faced with management of young learners. This book fills in the many gaps in my college preparation classes as well as giving numerous ideas for classroom activites to bring about student success, especially for those students that do not adapt well to the classroom environment. It is better than any of the textbooks I was required to purchase during my last four years of study. I checked it out from my Cal Poly Library and don't want to give it back! If you are a new teacher to be get your hands on this book.

The transaction and shipment went smoothly. The book was in good condition, and the info in it seems to be very helpful.

Strategies for Teaching Students with Learning and Behavior Problems 2007-02-15
This paperback textbook was required for a college course. I like the way it is formatted, with focus questions and intervention strategies on each topic. I have already used it as a resource for another class. I ordered it used ("like new condition") through one of Amazon's vendors. It was much less expensive than it was in the college bookstore. It was delivered sooner than I expected and was in new condition.

Up to date 2006-06-29
I recently purchased this text book to help me with the exceptional students in my class. The book is up to date, but I gave it only 3 stars because of the way it is formated on the page. The paper also has a sheen to it which in certain light makes it difficult to read. Maybe I'm picky, but repositioning the book due to the sheen is wasting my time and delaying how much reading I can do.

With that in mind, I would recommend 'Including Students with Special Needs' by Marilyn Friend & William D. Bursuck instead. The layout is easy to read, and the sheen is not intense (easy on the eyes).

Fancy but disappointing 2006-03-16
alittle to "glossy" for me... hard to focus my attn to the important aspects. Good overall strategies though
