To prolong the life of batteries, scrape both ends with sandpaper, a nail file or an emery board
To remove stains from carpet, spray foamy shaving cream on the stain, allow to sit for a few seconds, then rinse with a damp sponge.

This book is fabulous! It gives me a list of all the useful 1-800 numbers that I could possibly ever need. Who do I call for a copy of my credit report,? Perhaps I feel that a company has taken advantage of me as a customer. What are my rights? Iam looking for some rare bulbs to plant in my garden this year and my nursery has never even heard of them. Where can I purchase them? It's wonderful to have all of these 1-800 numbers together for quick reference so I can just pick up the phone and call. It saves me hours of time, not to mention hours of frustration. No home should be without it!
