All-around wonderful

I've never heard of a cloth book until I found it here. It's a clever concept, a book made of fabric with pages that crinkle.
It's a fantastic sensory experience for my 6 month old son to hear the crinkling when he grabs the book. He grabs something, and a sound results from it! He especially loves to grab beetlebug's blue wings and put them in his mouth.
The two-sentence rhymes to describe each of Fuzzy Bee's friends are cute and fun. He'll appreciate them later when he's older but he can still play with the book for now. The cloth book is great for different ages because he can use it as a toy now as a baby and enjoy the text when he's older.
The only thing my husband wondered was why Fuzzy Bee didn't have his own two-sentence description when all his friends had one.
cute & colorful book

I bought this book for my 3 month old. He couldn't wait to play with it when he saw me take it out of the box & clean it. It crinkles which babys love & has lots of bright sounds & textures. It says to wipe with a cloth to clean, but I've put in the washing machine on gentle cycle with no problems. He still enjoys playing with it 2 months later.
Fun times for my little one

I was looking for a cloth book for my six-month-old and this one fit the bill perfectly. He loves grabbing and chewing on the pages and likes to pull on the dragonfly and beetle wings. But I'm giving this book a 4-star rating because some of the dark colors faded when I washed it. Yes, I know the tag says Surface Wash Only, but there was no way I was going to let my baby play with it while it still had that strong "factory" smell...
BTW, the spider and fly that are mentioned in previous reviews are no longer part of this book. Maybe they got squashed. ;-P
STILL my daughter's favorite book!

I received Fuzzy Bee and Friends as a gift before my daughter was born. She loved it as an infant and STILL lights up whenever I pull it out for her. As an infant she loved to suck on the butterfly and dragonfly wings and now she enjoys flipping through the book and smiles because she recognizes all of the insects. It's a cute book, very well-made and straight-forward.
Great Cloth books - highly recommended

My son loves these books since 4 months. He would beam his happiness smile as I read the books to him and pointed at the words on each page. He learn to point at the book as I read them out loud when he was 5 months... Now, he is 15 months and he still pull them out of the shelve and ask me to read it to him. I got these versions:
-- fuzzy bee and freinds
-- big rex and friends
-- fuzzy chick and friends
excellent for infants and toddlers

i purchased the cloth reindeer book first for my nephew when he was around 11 months old, and after my sister in law was still having to read it for him in march - i purchased all the other priddy cloth books for his easter basket. several months later these books are still his favorites. they are brightly colored with fun features like crinkly textures and flaps to lift up and explore. i hope new ones come out so i can add those to his collection!
Surface wash only

My newborn was immediately attracted to the book. The colors are primary and exciting. I am glad I purchased it but you can't throw it in the wash like the Taggies book. The instructions on the tag are surface wash only.
Fuzzy Bee has been downsized
2008-06-16
I have no problem with the book - my daughter loves the characters in it - just the fact that Priddy Books has apparently eliminated two characters (Sally Spider and Fly to be exact). The only reason I know this is because I recently bought (and returned) Fuzzy Bee based on our enjoyment of an older version. The reduced characters/number of pages wouldn't necessarily be a problem except that Priddy Books is apparently trying to pull a fast one - the copyright date, ISBN, etc. are all exactly the same...only there's two fewer characters and pages than before. Perhaps there's a good explanation for it, but Priddy Books won't return my phone calls. So I'm giving Fuzzy Bee the lowest rating out of principle.
Do not wash!
2008-06-11
So I read all the reviews before buying the book and felt that I could wash this in the washer/dryer. We have a front loader one and I put in a laundry bag to make it 'extra safe'... I wanted to wash it before giving to our daughter since she loves putting these in her mouth... well it's now all crumpled and has dull lifeless colors. I try to get her to enjoy it but to no avail. If you get this my advice is to not wash in the washer. (Versus her "taggie" books like "Princess", we can wash and dry w/no worries, they just get softer and more fun to suck on!)
great for tummy time distraction!

I have tried many books for my newborn and this is the one he was drawn to right away. Since he has been 2months this is his favorite tummy-time reading. He loves looking at it and talking to all the different imagery in it.
