Excellent Resource for Teaching...

This is an excellent resource for teachers or those, like myself, who are training to be teachers. The chapters are concise and clear in explanation and have the added bonus of a little comic relief in the form of famous syndicated cartoons in nearly each chapter. Also, this textbook provides answers to some end of chapter problems as well as small biographical entries on famous mathematicians who helped mold math as we know it. It gives clear instruction, and is challenging without being overwhelming. An excellent textbook!

Not exactly sure what you want me to say! However, besides some major highlighting in chapter one I think that the book is in great condition. Considering that college books are very expensive and I have cut into half of my cost with this purchase I would really like to thank this seller.
Required, but poor quality

This text may have been required by the course I took, but it is a low quality test written in the obscure, academic way that gives textbooks bad name. It takes an interesting subject and makes it boring.

I was very happy with the purchase I made with Amazon. The book was in excellent condition and the time that it took to get the book was a little long but not unbearable.
ripped off by seller 2008-06-20
Had to send book back because I didn't have to take this class. The seller admitted to recieving the book back and did not refund my money! Will never buy from this seller and will tell friends and family to beware. Have tried to contact seller with no response!

Great Resource for Future Teachers 2004-07-01
This textbook is easy to read and follow. The explanations of mathematics, how to teach young children to use strategies, and examples of worksheets make this a great resource for future Elementary school teachers.
