Greatprocedure manual for primary care physicians
2008-07-04
I bought this book as recommended by my PD. It seems like a great resource for any procedure one might think and do.
Good compilation of minor office procedures
2007-10-18
This book is very helpful for office procedures, especially as a brief review/confirmation before each session. It is not the intetion of the book to make a compete novice to be competet in the procedure without hand-on training. It is also a great resource for the stock piling of the hardware and supplies for particular procedures.
As Good As Everyone Else Says It Is

This book is a bargain at the price. Best book on procedures I have seen.
Has informed consent and post-procedure care forms for almost every procedure as well. The one drawback is the paper is very flimsy and likely will eventually tear because you will use this book a LOT. I would have paid more for heavier paper stock.
Buy this book!

This is the only reference you will need for doing office-based primary care procedures. I've been using it for years and highly recommend it to all of the family medicine residents I teach in our residency program.
Excellent reference

I am a new Physician Assistant, and this book has come in very handy for the minor procedures that I am called upon to do during my weekly clinic. Recommend for any primary health care providers!

Buy this book!!!

This has to be the best reference text I have on clinic procedures. It covers all the procedures needed in primary care (PAP, biopsies, toenail resection, etc). I can not recommend this book enough!!
A Good Resource for Everyone
2007-01-05
There are books about the "Art" of everything -surgery, intubation, birthing babies, and even motorcycle maintenance....I just had to throw that in. But, there are few books that give the "How-to-do-Something" in a clear, step by step, easy to read manner. This book gives the reader the basics; clinicial applications, correct technical procedures, and the consequences of doing a certain procedure.
Procedures for PCP

This book is an excellent resource not only for MDs but for NPs or PAs. It's an easy read that thoroughly explains the procedures and provides pictures as well. One thing that makes this book a resource to have is the CPT/Billing codes & ICD-9 codes available at the end of the chapters. It provides handouts for patient education. Overall, its a well written book!
Fantastic procedure book

Worth every penny for the procedure explanations. Every office should have one. Ours is massively dog-eared. This is a book you'll use.
