Another Monster At The End Of This Book
2006-12-11
This is a fun, interactive book featuring the two loveable monsters from Sesame Street Grover and Elmo. The book begins by stating that there is another monster at the end of the book. Elmo is excited of the thought of meeting another monster at the end of the book, but Grover however has other ideas. He thinks that the monster could be scary, big and mean. As the book progresses Elmo is convincing the reader to turn the page while Grover is doing else wise. He sets up animated blocks that trys to convince you not to turn the page such as a castle made of blocks and he even goes to such extremes as a heavy metal blockade. Grover is finally convinced to take a peak and then run and as you turn the last page the "other monster" ends up being themselves. Elmo is the other monster to Grover and Grover is the other monster to Elmo. Kids will be entertained by this book because of the fact that the characters talk and interact with them.

My son is 29 years old and this was his favorite book as a toddler. I just ordered it for his new daughter. I hope she enjoys itas much as he did.
Very cute!

Not a big Elmo fan myself, but I do like Grover. My daughter was so excited when I gave her this book. She loves both Grover and Elmo.
Another Monster at the End of This Book (Big Bird's Favorites)

I loved the first book, There's a Monster at the End of This Book, but I wasn't impressed with the second (this) book. I remember as a child reading the original, and I had to get it for my 2-year-old son. I thought that he would love the one with Elmo (because he loves Elmo) but he wasn't that into it, and I wasn't thrilled with the story line.
Like so many sequels, not quite as good as the original

I haven't been so disappointed in a sequel since I rushed to the Deerfield Multiplex 25 to see the not-so-seminal breakdancing film "Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo." And whereas this warmed-over story can only offer up Elmo for added enticement, at least the aforementioned film strove to add a completely unforseen element -- namely, boogaloo.
Great book for little people

I had and loved this book's sister, 'Monster at the end of this book', as a child. I had the book for my kids which made it through my first two unscathed. When my last child (2 yr old) go a hold of it, that was the end. So this board book was a great solution. I got it's 'sister' in the board book format also. I just love the drama that Grover (and Elmo) provide in this book.
Typical sequel

This book was fine for the price; however, it didn't surprise me that the sequel was not as good as the original! Had I been able to read this book prior to purchasing it, I would not have purchased it.
Very Cute

This is a cute follow up on the original. But almost too similar. Not a must have, but cute.
This book is awful!

The original monster at the end of this book was one of my favorites as a child and my 14 month old son loves it too, so when I saw this book I was excited to get it. It is so bad I can't even read it to my son. They try to copy the original, but they tried to hard. Adding Elmo doesn't help. I was very disappointed with the book. Stick with the original. The Monster at the End of This Book (Big Bird's Favorites Brd Bks)
My kids loved this book!

My 2 yr. old loves for me to read this to him! Both of my children like any book with Grover in it, so this was a sure winner.
