Wonderful resource for all ages

This Bible was a tremendous hit with our school's young people. They would carry it around and read whenever they could. Some parents came back to purchase another one for a sibling. The religion teacher highly recommended it and with good reason. It has no specific "agenda" except to put the biblical stories into easier bites for the readers and has attractive illustrations to accompany each story. Adults have said it has been of value to them also in their study and use with their families.

Great kids Bible, the best I've seen!

I tried relentlessly to find my son a beginning readers Bible while I was putting together our homeschool materials for this year (2nd grade for him). They were all either corny or too dry. I just happened to stumble upon this Bible while shopping and decided to take a chance. My son reads a passage every school day, he really likes it. I appreciate that the illustrations are colorful and very realistic...no bulging eyes (like in "The Beginner's Bible"). The text is well written, it's not baby-ish at all. I have to help my son through a few difficult words here and there, but he reads 98% of it on his own. I am so pleased with this Bible and recommend it highly.

Great bible for young children.

I am very happy with this bible. I am currently using the Five in a row homeschooling curriculum with the christian character suppliment and this bible is working out great. It is very colorful and draws my daughters(3 yr old) attention. My daughter asks me to read stories from it all of the time. In the back of the book there are parent pages that are very helpful in teaching children christian character traits. This bible is well made and would be a fine choice for anyone who wants to introduce the bible to a child. This book should hold your childs interest and have them looking forward to the next bible reading session.

Great Beginner Bible

I am VERY happy with this Bible. My almost 4-yr old daughter LOVES it. I am very happy that it is Biblically correct. I'm learning a lot myself. I have to go to the Bible to get the full detail, but that's the idea of a "beginner" Bible. The meat of the story is there and little kids can understand it very well. The illustrating is terrific!

Awesome Bible for Beginning Readers!

My (...) son has been learning to read. I checked out a popular beginning reader book from the library and he hated it. He's been asking to read the Bible, so when I found this I was so excited! It's written at around a late first to early second grade reading level. The stories are short enough that he can read one every day and the pictures are great (full color illustration on every page done in the same style that's on the cover). It's really improved his reading confidence!

Best Children's Bible I've ever seen

I happened upon this Bible at a Scholastic Book Fair that was held at my workplace and bought it on a whim. I had been disappointed in the past with other children's Bibles that I had purchased because none seemed to hold my child's interest. This one, however, is completely different. My 5 year old son LOVES this Bible. He asks every night for stories from the Bible, even over other favorites like Pokemon. I like how the book is broken up into "chapters" that flow together. It really reads like an adventure book. The stories are accurate but written at an appropriate developmental level for preschool and young school age children. The pictures are very well done as well and really keep my son's attention. Sometimes he will just sit and look at the pictures and "read" the stories that he has memorized. I HIGHLY recommend this Bible to anyone with young children. You will not be disappointed!

Accurate Bible Stories for Children

Most childrens' Bibles either oversimplify the stories in the Bible, or change them so they are inaccurate. We were looking for something to start teaching our three year old the stories from the Bible and a friend lent us this book. Our son didn't want to stop reading it. We liked it so much for its accuracy yet understandability for younger children that we gave it as Christmas gifts this year to several friends and all our family with young children.

We gave this book to a little girl in our church. Before we wrapped it, we started reading it and determined that adults love it too because we couldn't put it down. The colored pictures are fantastic and make you feel like you're right there with the characters. The stories are explained really well. We got our money's worth.

My 4yo son LOVES this!! He kept after us until we read it from cover to cover in about a week at bedtime! He lies in bed and looks at the pictures. Can't say enough about the illustrations - beautiful and well done. I initially found it at Walmart and picked it up. It is so simple looking on the front but on the inside it is beautiful!(hmmm) I did not realize it was going to be my BEST childrens Bible ever! I have not found one that I like better. You won't go wrong with this one! I am ordering more for my church Sunday school class to be given away.

Great Starter Bible

I bought a box of these for a church mission that caters to people released from prison. Many of them have reading problems and one of my friends there found that this Bible was very effective at allowing these adults to feel comfortable about reading the Bible on their own. Kids love it too.
