Editorial Review
This book contains prescriptions for wisdom written by the good doctor himself: "A person's a person, no matter how small." and "UNLESS someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not." In his remarkablely perceptive trademark style, America's favorite doctor takes on everything from aging to activism, popovers to green eggs and ham, belief in others to belief in yourself. Irreverent and refreshing, here's a book no self-respecting Seussophile should be without!

This "Book" is about 50 cents worth of Dr. Seuss... 2004-03-19
This is not a critique of Dr. Seuss, nor a bash of his works... BUT... REALLY... It's almost like the few pages of this tiny book get lost between the covers. You can read and digest what little has been printed in this book in less than 2 minutes(even if you're not the fastest reader!). Considering the wealth of writings of Dr. Seuss, please don't waste your time with this pitiful excuse for a publication. Just buy the books... you'll get a LOT more bang for your buck!

Dr. Seuss Stocking Stuffer 2003-12-16
A nice little compilation of some Dr. Seuss quotes.

A nice but small stocking-stuffer for a small price. Some office gift exchanges limit gifts to mercifully small amounts and this is a good option for such an occaission.

Only negative is that it's a bit too short; but I must admit I'm still very glad I got it.

My favorite quote from Suess (which I would have missed entirely had it not been for this book): "I still climb Mount Everest just as often as I used to. I play polo just as often as I used to. But to walk down to the hardware store I find a little bit more difficult."

Simple and wise, what the Dr. ordered 2002-07-21
Dr. Seuss was a man who could stretch out a set of simple words to delight and entertain his audience. But at the same time, his books also held a deeper meaning on important issues: The Lorax and the Butter Battle Book come to mind.

This slim tome is full of little pieces of wisdom, in Seuss' own words and with his drawings. It's Suess-Lite, but perfect for when you just need a smile, or a breather. Sometimes the simplicity lets us look at our selves better and to see the simple truths in living. It is a perfect little gift for the graduate, or just to keep on your desk for when you need a smile, and a short breather to put life in perspective.

I grew up with Dr Seuss and enjoyed the words and pictures . What a delight to discover as an adult that the words have even more meaning.

Witty and Refreshing 2001-12-16
I'm giving this book to 10 middle managers - while initially they'll probably think it's childish, once they read it they will understand why they received it. Seuss gives us all a simplified view of life and applying the basics to home and work. I also highly recommend everyone read "Open Your Mind, Open Your Life: A Little Book of Wisdom" by Taro Gold.

Happy gift 2008-05-09
I gave this little book instead of cards to my mothers day recipiants. To remind them motherhood needs a sense of humor .

Inspiration from the Doctor 2007-06-12
It's a great little book when you need a bit of wisdom. Easy to understand and read for all ages.

Seuss-Isms (Life Favors) 2007-02-02
This is a tiny tiny book in both size and number of pages. It contains nothing new.........just phrases from other Seuss Stories. I bought it for a gift but was embarrased by the content and size. I bought something else. No reason I can see for anyone buying this book. Don''t waste your money.

Seuss-isms 2005-12-18
This book contains many great quotes from all sorts of Dr. Seuss books. Many of the entries in this book can be related to real life values.

`A book of common sense from a man who wrote about non-sense.' 2005-12-09
Dr. Seuss is unfortunately looked over by some people as just a guy who wrote silly little children's books. That may be partially true, but all of his books had a much deeper meaning if you are willing to be open-minded and take a closer look. His work is brilliant and outlandishly creative; so much so that he is recognized as the creator of the word `Nerd' in the English language when the word was first featured in his 1950 book `If I Ran the Zoo.' Some people believe that it is unfair to take quotes from his work after his death and related it to `lessons of life' the way this book does and that the quotes have no relation at all to what they are connected with. I don't believe that is true at all; I believe that he wrote these stories with the exact meaning they are realted too, which is why his books are brilliant. Here are two of my favorite quotes from the book so you can judge for yourself...

ON EQUALITY AND JUSTICE

`I know, up on top you are seeing great sights, but down at the bottom we, too, should have rights.'

ON GOING PLACES

`The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.'

If you still think Dr. Suess books are just for kids then ponder this...

`Every book is a children's book if the kid can read' - Mitch Hedberg
