So goes the first poem in this fun collection of school poetry by Kalli Dakos. These poems are memorable, catchy and fun to say aloud. As a teacher, I have used poems from this collection and "If You're not here, Please Raise Your Hand." for reciitng, discussion, and introducing poetry writing. The topics (like raising your hand, anticipating recess, doing well on a test) are relevant, sometimes serious and sometimes silly, but always kid-like. My students like these books so much that they have worn my copies out. Time to buy replacements!
