Entertaining book for the younger reader

My daughter really liked this book. I didn't read it so I can't say too much more than that.
Not just for kids....

I had to add my two cents here. I see all of these reviews from kids or people who bought the book for a kid. I am 25 and am collecting the entire series. These books are beautifully done, informational and just plain fun to read and look through. Anyone with interest in mythology, literature and history would adore this series. It is attention getting for the young, but it is also academic enough for the adults. They are not patronizing or low leveled that would steer adult readers away. The tongue-in-cheek approach of the advertising inside can relegate the book to the younger crowd, but adults-you too can LOVE this book!

My four grandsons are crazy about dragons and can tell you anything and everything about them. So, I knew that this book had to be the one I wanted for them.
Everything you ever wanted to know about Dragons

My friend bought me this book for my birthday and it was the best gift I recieved. I have always loved dragons and this book provides information on the different types, their habitats, and lots more. I loved the little extras like the dragon scales and the packets of dragon dust and even my four year old loved to look at the beautiful illustrations. This book is perfect for anyone who is fascinated by these mythical creatures.
Great book

This book was well worth the buy.
I purchased this book as a gift. The recipient was 7.
Most of the book is still a little much for her yet, but she was beyond excited just the same. There was some that she thinks is interesting now, but as she gets older, there will be so much more for explore in the book. After going through the entire book, you have to remind yourself that dragons truly aren't real!
Lovely and Interesting

Dragonology is presented as a faux-scholarly book with everything you ever wanted to know about dragons. Purporting to be the actual writings of English Dragonologist, Dr. Ernest Drake, this book is filled with exquisite illustrations, fascinating faux-facts, a dragon alphabet, runes to decipher, lift-up flaps, and maps to explore. Covering everything from dragon habitats, physiology and behavior to finding, tracking, taming, and flying them. A really fun book for the Harry Potter crowd and anyone enamored of Dragons. Hardcover, 32 pages. (Ages 8+)
Wonderful for the imagination

I purchased this book for my 8 year old daughter... she is in love with it! Great for any child with an interest in mythical creatures. She loves the "dragon dust". Money well spent.
Great Science

It's a beautifully, funny, most amazing book I've seen on the science of Dragonology. Very good idea, beautiful illustrations, witty text, fun pull-outs, even samples of shed dragon skin, wing membranes and dragon dust. We learn much about dragons, from their life cycles and behaviors to their flying techniques... Another great book that I love is "Why Some Cats are Rascals ( Book 3)" - an incredibly cats' story, full of fun and facts from American history and geography.

Good book, purchased for my grandson age 11. He loves the book and "believes" in dragons. Good information and interactive pages.
Terrific!

My now-9-year-old daughter has ALWAYS been fascinated by dragons and dinosaurs; there has never been a time when she wasn't. Today was a Dragonology birthday. This book and it's companions (Dragonology Handbook, Dragonology game, toys, etc.) are an utter delight to children AND adults alike. It's amazingly real, and even has me wondering if Ernest Drake was a real man and lived in the 19th and 20th centuries. It's SO much fun for my daughter to actually be able to study dragons in an in-depth manner. But, I think Komodo Dragons will always have a special place in her heart. I highly recommend this book and its companions to any dragon-lover!
