This is one of those classic books. The illustrations are sweet and the story is great. A must for any girls' collection!

A Favorite of Little Girls Everywhere

I remember reading this book when I was little and it being a favorite of mine. I was recently invited to a baby shower with instructions to bring a children's book for the baby's library. I immediately thought of The Best Loved Doll!! My copy is old and in not-so-good condition; I guess you could say it was my "Best Loved Book!" I was thrilled to find that it is still in print and that I can gift it to my friend for her little girl to enjoy!

The best book!

I love this book! This was my favorite when I was a little girl. I just finished reading my 1975 printing that I had as a child to my daughters and am buying a new one for them because they want mine but it's just too frail for a 5 and 6 year old to share. I was so pleased to get on here and see that I can buy a copy for each of them so they can pass it on to their little girls when they're mommies. If you've never heard of this book, buy it, you'll love it! It's priceless the memories that it will make for your children to share later in life about their own favorite toy/doll.

I loved this book as a child and could not for the life of me remember the title. Due to your wonderful reviews, the lists, and the search capability of Amazon, I found it!!! Now I can pass this book on to my young nieces who are at the perfect age to read it.

Best Loved Doll 2008-01-11
A cute story about how children see their dolls and dolls see their children. Perfection is in the eye of the child. And the most worn are often the most loved. Any one with a passion for dolls would love this story.

Absolutely love this book for girls ages 0 to 12 -but most compelling for ages 6-10. This was a favorite of mine when i was young. My 8 year old daughter is so enamoured wtih the story she wants to have a Best Loved Doll birthday. Don't hesitate - buy this book!

This wonderful book captivated me as a child. It is probably my most favorite book from my childhood and I loved it so! I remember so much how I wished I could have owned the best loved doll, and how it made me tear up after my mother read it to me for the first time. I cannot wait to read it one day to my daughter(s)!

"The Best Loved Doll" was the first book I fell in love with as a little girl. Even after I grew up I still remembered this book. When I got pregnant and found out I was having a little girl, I knew I had to find this book. And to my astonishment, I found it and didn't think twice of purchasing it. I can only hope that my little girl will love it as much as I did. A true treasure for all little girls with a good meaning: just because something looks old and is in tatters, it doesn't mean it can't be loved or give love.

I have loved this book my whole life. I think it is a great reminder for today's materialistic youth.
