So spoke Albus Dumbledore at the end of Harry Potter's fourth year at Hogwarts. But as Harry enters his fifth year at wizard school, it seems those bonds have never been more sorely tested. Lord Voldemort's rise has opened a rift in the wizarding world between those who believe the truth about his return, and those who prefer to believe it's all madness and lies--just more trouble from Harry Potter.
Add to this a host of other worries for Harry…
• A Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher with a personality like poisoned honey
• A venomous, disgruntled house-elf
• Ron as keeper of the Gryffindor Quidditch team
• And of course, what every student dreads: end-of-term Ordinary Wizarding Level exams
…and you'd know what Harry faces during the day. But at night it's even worse, because then he dreams of a single door in a silent corridor. And this door is somehow more terrifying than every other nightmare combined.
In the richest installment yet of J. K. Rowling's seven-part story, Harry Potter confronts the unreliability of the very government of the magical world, and the impotence of the authorities at Hogwarts.
Despite this (or perhaps because of it) Harry finds depth and strength in his friends, beyond what even he knew; boundless loyalty and unbearable sacrifice.
Though thick runs the plot (as well as the spine), readers will race through these pages, and leave Hogwarts, like Harry, wishing only for the next train back.

HP Order of the Phoenix - darkest of the bunch...and one mistake?
2009-04-04
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is my least favorite book in the series, yet it seems that Rowling might have intended it to be so. The story draws you deep into Harry's adolescent angst: his frustration at not being treated as an adult despite all he's endured, his outrage at the injustices of the ministry's interference at Hogwarts, his jealousy of his friends' comparatively simple lives, and his constant feeling that no one understands him.
Added to the darkness of Harry's own psyche are truly horrible new villains like Professor Umbridge and truly awful new situations like occlumency lessons with Snape. We also see our heroes make mistakes - mistakes which make them human but which are infuriating nonetheless. Like Harry, we find only a few rays of light to help us endure all the darkness...at least until the illuminating conclusion...
But there is one thing I don't understand. At the end of Book 4, after they bid goodbye to Fleur and Krum, Harry, Ron and Hermione get into the horseless carriages to go to the train. But shouldn't Harry have seen the Thestrals at this point? He has already seen Cedric die (assuming that, for whatever reason, seeing his own parents die didn't count). In Book 5, Cedric's death is the event that allows him to see the Thestrals, so why wouldn't he have seen them at the end of Book 4?

Have you ever wanted a magical wand ? Then you will like the fifth book of Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling.
HARRY is a smart intelligent boy and he loves his bird horse with wings.
He is in school and likes his friends and HARRY wants to kill Voldemort . Voldemort is HARRY'S worst enemy.
I like the part when Harry uses his magical broom.
I like the book because it hooks me and it is a very good book. I think you should read the book HARRY POTTER
AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX.

Do you like magic? Do you believe good beats evil? Well Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is the book for you. In this book Harry is attacked by demenotrs in the park. Harry Potter had a vision of Voldermort coming to get him. But we found out Voderort always feared was Dumbledor. Near the end Dumbledore and Voldermort battle. In the battle Volderort shows some of the dark magic .In the battle Dumbledor also shows some of the angeint powers .Harry was a big part of the battle because his scare was the only thing keeping Voldermort from killing Harry.
Harry Potter is a bright young kid but the story of his life is that he is always getting in trouble. But he is very important to the story because he is the boy who lived .He also important of his scar. The scar always stings when trouble is around. So he can always find Volderort. Ron Weasley is bright but he has always been afraid of everything. You would think he would eat a lot because of that problem but he docent and he is very skinny. But he is important because he will need o be very fast because he needs to fight to stay alive. Or else he will be killed. Hermione Granger is very intelligent. She is also never afraid to go on adventures. And she is very talented because she aces nearly every spell. And she can always be counted on because she helps figure out the riddles.
I recommend this book to people who like adventures and magic. And when you pick it up you wont want to put it down. And in order to solve the mystery you have to put the clues together and you will figure out Voderorts secreter. They will have to go to the Department of mystery's to get the answer to there question .so if that part sounded good just wait until you read the book .
