Editorial Review
Trisha Ashworth and Amy Nobile conducted interviews with hundreds of mothers while researching their best-selling book I Was a Really Good Mom Before I Had Kids. It didn't take long before these moms began to reveal their Dirty Little Secrets—surprising, thought-provoking, guilty confessions they hadn't told anyone else. Cringe-worthy moments ("I bit my daughter's finger trying to steal a bite of her cookie.") meet real insights ("I love my kids but I didn't always. It took time to fall in love with them."). These are the private thoughts that every mom has—and every mom can relate to.

10 Minute Read......... 2008-07-14
Don't waste your money on buying this book! Every page is a one line sentence. I recommend checking it out through your local library. I was very disappointment! The first book they wrote was a five star!!

not really worth it 2008-07-10
This book essentially has one line (secret) per page. I suppose you can call that concise but it also seemed empty. I read through it in under 10 minutes. Kind of disappointing.

Waste of money!!!!!!!!! 2008-06-30
I was under the impression there would be stories to go with the little secrets......wrong! It took me 15 minutes to read the entire book. They should tell you there are one liners per page. Waste of my money....very disappointing........don't make the same mistake I made!

Huge Waste of Money 2008-06-30
I was so disappointed to open the book and find it's only a sentence on each page of "secrets". I really regret buying this book.

Funny yet disappointing. 2008-05-29
I read an ad for this in a parenting magazine. I think they put all of the funny parts in the ad. I ordered this online and was shocked when I saw there was only one sentence per page. I read the whole book in 10 minutes.
There were many "confessions" that had nothing to do with being a mom. I guess I just think if I spend $10 on a book it should last more than 10 minutes.

Loved this book!! 2008-05-29

Put down those novels....... 2008-05-24
This is the perfect book for all of us busy moms. Put down your novels and read something that makes you laugh. This book is a fun and light read. Forget the wine and candles, this book makes a great hostess gift. This is a much needed book because it makes us realize that we are not alone and we have all done THAT....... Many of us have cut those same corners.

Fast read, funny, funny, funny. Proving no one is perfect, this is a great gift for yourself all your mommy friends.

Concise and hilarious 2008-05-08
This book is a perfect little lift for us slightly less-than-perfect wives and mothers...made me laugh about the short-cuts we take, which is much healthier and joyful than feeling bad about them! I appreciated its brevity: I and most of my mom-friends have piles of meaty, heavy unread books and newspapers, simply because getting through them requires more time than we have. I love that I got so much laughter and joy out of this book without a huge time investment (which would have just left me having to pull out even more "dirty little tricks" of the trade). Fun and witty read!

Cute but not much to it 2008-05-04
The idea was great, and much needed. Mothers everywhere are struggling to be perfect and could benefit from realizing they are not alone in cutting corners and feeling frustrated. This book gets the message across, but with only a line or two on each page you are finished in less than half an hour and left thinking they barely scratched the surface. The whole book would hardly fill an average magazine article. I wish they'd done more, I wish we could have heard more stories and anecdotes and felt like we had something to relate to, instead of something just fluffy and cute and insubstantial. A good idea that didn't go nearly far enough to satisfy and not anywhere near enough material to justify the cost of the book.
