Entertaining radio theatre

This review is related to the 4th volume of the Left Behind series of audio books.
I originally heard of this series on a local radio station, and was intrigued. I purchased the volumes from several different e-tailers, as they are not all in print. The second volume, and the third are particularly hard to find. I had to settle for the second on cassette tape, and downloaded the third from audible.com.
I found the volume 4 story entertaining, and the quality is pretty good. The recording levels are good, but not always even, so in some whispering dialogue scenes you have to crank it up, and then in the next action scenes it's too loud. Most of the acting performances are pretty good, although some of them sound very stilted, like they're reading from cue cards.
All in all I've enjoyed the series, and volume four in particular. It's quick paced, has a good message, and is an entertaining way to spend your commute.
The Adventures continue in volume 3

I am really enjoying the Left Behind: The Kids Live-Action audio series. Well-acted and every episode has captured my attention. As an adult, one of the reasons which drew me to the audio series is because LaHaye and Jenkins intertwines the Left Behind universe and its characters together, so if you are reading or listening to the audio series of Left Behind, I highly recommend listening to the Left Behind: The Kids for a little bit more in-depth coverage of recurring characters.
Despite the cover not being shown on Amazon as well as a reference at this time to it being Volume 3, this page is definitely Volume 3 of the Live Action series.
In Volume 3, the series focuses on Vicki being captured and being adopted by a family. Time has eventually passed with the Judd, Ryan and Lionel living their lives but this volume focuses on a major loss of a friend and mentor and often at times, a parent. With our main characters now working with other characters, the team grows but at the same time, a cataclysmic earthquake happens. Setting things up for volume 4.
Definitely worth purchasing! If you read (or listen to) "Left Behind", I highly recommend "Left Behind: The Kids"
