Gift for my Son. A Father to be!

I gave my Son this book as a "sort of" Shower gift. We were going to my Daughter in law's shower and I wanted to give my Son a gift as well.
What better gift that a wonderful Little Big Book for Dads ?
He really liked it and that made me happy.
Great Little Book

This book is a good one if you are going to have only a few to read to your little one. It has a wide variety of stories and rhymes for Dads to read to their little people. Moms will enjoy reading from it, too.
I liked the book, don't know if my husband did

I bought this book for my husband before we have our first baby. I was more excited than he was to have the lyrics to old songs and cool craft and cooking ideas. He has yet to look through it. Maybe he will use it more once the baby is actually here. Keep you posted.
Most importantly, my wife liked it!!

Yes...that is what really matters and when I brought it home she fell in love with the pictures and stuff. It is a 'best of' book for expecting fathers. The jokes are actually funny, the stories are great and very well written. I recommend it highly for first-time expecting Daddies like myself and all other Daddies too.
The Little Big Book for Dads
2002-05-27
Welcome published The Little Big Book For Moms in April 2000. Now in its fourth printing (150,000 copies in total), it has been a bestseller for everyone. For Spring 2001, there will be a new Little Big Book filled with stories, poetry, activities, recipes, and songs: The Little Big Book For Dads. All the selections are made with a dad, not a mom, in mind. There are outdoor activities and jokes, even tongue twisters and riddles. Kids can learn to juggle with marshmallows, make one-eyed sailors for breakfast, create electricity with balloons and identify insects, birds, leaves, and stars. With text by writers as diverse, as funny, and as profound as Bill Cosby and Gordon Lightfoot, Shel Silverstein and Kenny Loggins, Ogden Nash and Dr. Seuss, and illustrated throughout with early twentieth-century art from artists including Jessie Willcox Smith, Randolph Caldecott, and Kate Greenaway, this 352-page charm of a book is something special and sweet for dad to share with his little ones.
Something special

This unique book makes a thoughtful gift, especially with the companion book for "Moms." So many special stories, rhymes, fairy tales to make you an expert on the "old fashioned" while also supplying notes that warm the sometimes tired parent's soul. We love it!
A Great Find!

Thanks to Lena Tabori for putting together such wonderful books. I can't tell you how much my husband and I and 19 month old daughter are enjoying the Little Big Book for Dads and also the one for Moms. So far, every recipe we have tried has been a hit with the little one. As you may know, toddlers can be picky eaters and we are always searching for recipes we can all enjoy. We can't wait to try the rest of them. "Unfries" have been a weekly addition to our dinner menu. They are so easy and better than French fries. Little Georgia loves the songs, rhymes, and beautiful photos. As she grows older, these books will only become more and more precious. I can sit down with her and go through the whole book and she is very content. I am putting the Christmas book on my wish list this year. Also, I now have wonderful gift ideas for new moms and dads.
Baby Bonding Time

Although our daughter was only 7 months old and much of the contents are for toddlers and older, I bought this book for my husband for his first father's day. He loves the time he spends reading the stories to our daughter and is looking forward to when she is big enough to do the other activites. With so much of the focus on moms by infants, I think it's great that dads have a book all their own. This is a great by for any dad.
