Very Good 2008-11-27
Product was delivered quickly, however I would have liked more information on implementing the activities. The Book is good and does have diagrams, but not much detailed information.

Great! 2008-10-04
The book was shipped right away and I received the book within a couple days

Not up to standard! 2008-09-21
Although the content is very interesting, the quality of the graphics, typesetting and production is terrible! The illustrations are all line drawings by an amateur, and poorly illustrate the movements and postures described in the text. If the publishers didn't have a monopoly on the content, they simply couldn't get away with such a low standard. Considering the premium price point for this slender tome, one should expect a higher standard.

Should have bought a diffrent edition 2008-07-21
I bought this because I read that Brain Gym was good for kids with special needs. Never having seen it done or used any other Brain Gym products- I naturally ordered the TEACHERS EDITION, thinking all the directions would be there for implementing this is my classroom. This manual would be for someone already familiar with the basics of Brain Gym exercises who wanted to find creative ways to use it within a classroom setting. I will be looking for Brain Gym products that meet my needs better.

Brain Gym 2008-05-09
This is a good book to get your students really thinking. It gives you ways to get them back on track and keep them there. It also gives your students an option of doing something on their own to help get them back on track.

Disappointed 2008-04-10
Brain Gym is made up of simple and enjoyable movements and activities . These activities make all types of learning easier but are especially effective with academic skills.

Easy to Use in the Classroom 2008-04-08
I went to a Brain Gym workshop and got hooked. The movements are a great way to get the brain stimulated for learning. I took the moves I learned back to the classroom and my kids loved it. The moves inside the Brain Gym Teacher's Edition are easy to follow and use. It's also great how various movements are targeted for a specific academic skill. My students look forward to Brain Gym everyday!

A must have for the educator 2007-09-22
This is a great book for any educator. The activities can be used to start off the day, transition between activities and to get some movement for the children. Highly recommended.

Brain Gym Helps My Students 2007-09-16
With movement the focus of helping students learn, Brain Gym is a must. It gives an educator techniques she can use to help her students move, stay focus and retain information.

Brain Gym Works!! - A teacher's point of view 2007-06-15
I wish that I would have known about this book years ago. There are numerous exercises that enhance different areas of the body (including the brain of course). Each exercise lists teaching tips, variations, corrlations, the history of....and more. You pick and choose the exercises that best suits your and your students' needs. After you and your students become familiar with the exercises, it doesn't take much class time to get up and do a few (5-10 min.). Really, what's 5-10 minutes a couple times out of the day of students sitting for hours on end? I implemented certain exercises from Brain Gym and Brain Dance (A.G. Gilbert) into my art classroom this past school year and the combination of both was a raging success with my students. Students would stop by eager tell me about how this or that exercise helped them with concentration or calming down in their general classroom before a test or reading time. It also helped that I personally benefitted from the exercises as well. If I forgot to start class with the exercises or end with "hook-ups", my students were right there to remind me. It is true that the book illustrations aren't the best, but it's all about the motion. My students and I loved the concept and benefits of Brain Gym/Brain Dance so much that we made a video power point demonstrating various exercises and the benefits for the other teachers in the school building because the students wanted their homeroom teachers to do it with them. Students really do benefit congnitively and behaviorly and will want you to make copies of some of the exercises so they can do them at home.
My students' favorite Brain Gym exercise = "hook-ups"
