best as a resource for teachers
2002-05-20
I bought this book hoping to find activities to do with my child at home. I ended up giving it to his classroom teacher. Its good, but its better suited for a teacher who wants to do some art activities in the classroom.
Helpful resource.

Each activity is headlined with which senses the activity is meant to stimulate, which is helpful in writing lesson plans, etc. I did not find the ideas especially novel, but it is a good collection altogether.
A practical and useable book!

A great resource for teachers of children with Asperger Syndrome and autism! It is fun for both adults and children.
A Must Have for Educators

As an autistic support teacher, I have found this book to be an excellent resource and an integral resource when planning lessons. It provides objectives, adaptions, extension activities, and explanations of sensory benefits. In addition, the materials required for these activities are common objects that are very easily obtained. This book is a must have for anyone working to help individuals with autism achieve success.
