My first and most favorite strategy guide...

When I first got Pokemon Crystal, I said to myself I'm finally going to get a REAL strategy guide for this game. The Versus guide is my first ever gameboy strategy guide, and it left a great impression. It has a very extensive and detailed walkthrough that covers so much, from the pokemon in a trainer's roster and the money you obtain after beating them, to all the secret areas and items. At the beginning is a page of difference between Gold/Silver and Crystal, and the basics of the game. The pokedex is eye-popping; every pokemon in the game (and not in the game) is shown with the moves it learns naturally, HM and TM-able moves, egg-teachable moves and stats on things like defense, sp. defense, attack, etc.
Whenever you arrive at a new route/town you will be delighted to find a well written description of the things you can do there, events that take place and of course the gyms. Each gym has a good chunk of the page dedicated to it with info on the gym minions and leader.
This guide has a map for every area in the game; all very clear and sometimes with paths drawn through them to guide you. And that's covering only a fraction of the things in this book. And while you may find a few errors in some places (I saw a picture of a Hitmonchan where there should've been a picture of a Teddiursa), that doesn't take away from the overall quality of the guide. I recommend it for anyone playing Crystal, it's my number 1 choice.

Compared to the "Official" pokemon player's guide, this guide has plenty more unveiled secrets than your average guide. I found it to be very informative. I must admit that I found a few errors, but compared to all the cool tips and hints you get, it's not that big of a deal. I love how there's an introduction for each pokemon, instead of just plain old stats. Having this guide makes playing the game alot more fun, and that's what guides are all about. Well, besides guiding. Hehe, you get my point.

The Pok'emon Crystal game for Gameboy Advance is kind of better than Pok'emon Gold and Silver, because you can get Lapras in it but you can't get Lapras in Gold or Silver, Lapras is at Lv.20 it attacks are Mist , Body Slam , Growl , some thing some thing
any way Sucine is the the Rarest Monster in the game because if it is on the cover then it is. When you start the game you can choose a boy or a girl, im a boy but in the game I started with a girl because Snubble will be easier to find in the morning and the girl name was Rei.

This is a highly helpful and very good guide to the Pokemon Crystal game. It inculdes : An accurate pokedex , detailed info from page to page about the game , Comical and critical info about some of the Pokemon you might encounter , great details on the trainers and Gym leaders you meet , and more! This guide is a complete inside look on the game from helpful items to mysterious new Pokemon and trainers. If your gonna buy the game , buy this guide as well and ENJOY!!!
What a great guide! It should have 10 stars! 2002-09-17
Well, I got this guide last Christmas with my Pokemon Crystal, and I love it! This guide has soooo much information on Pokemon in the Pokedex, and even tells you which Pokemon should be breeded so you can have a great baby Pokemon! There are precise walkthroughs for every area, and has Pokemon appearance charts for Crystal as well as Gold and Silver! Every trainer and gym leader has stats and guides to help you on your way to becoming the Champion! And there's a FULL item list and where to get each item! Isn't that great! I have almost beaten the game with this guide, and it has helped me so much! I'm not even a real Pokemaniac either, yet I just can't stop playing this game! I would reccomend this guide to anybody who gets Pokemon Crystal, Gold, or Silver, because the title doesn't lie when it says, "PERFECT GUIDE"

At first, I thought that this guide was unusual. But it is great! They tell you how often certain pokemon come out, what the trainers are using, suggestions, a pokedex, and where the once-a-week-siblings are and what day they appear.

this is by far the best pokemon strategy book i have ever read.
it has everything a trainer could ask for,including tips on how to catch the legendary dogs and the hoh and lugia.
seriously,i couldnt have made it to the top (i became a poke master in this game) without the help of this book.
plus theres the most beautiful suicune LARGE poster :)

A Must For GBC Fans 2001-11-21
Pokemon can be a pretty hard game and sometime you are in over your head if you are then you might be someone who needs or wants this. It is one of the best guides you can find and every secret is told. This is an exelent gift to give to GBC fans or POKEMON fans.
