Autism for kids

Book is good. It seems appropriate for kids who are in kindergarten or older.

I think this is a great resource for any child to use who might interact with a child with autism. Its meant to be an individual book, where the child writes their name in, and personalizes it. I thought it was more of a resource/story book- but it was a pleasant surprise!
Great for group and individual

I really like this book. I appreciate that it encourages the reader to find commonalities with a friend who has autism. It shows that people can be friends with those who have autism. I am an educator in my church and I plan to use this is children's small groups.
Great book to explain to family and friends

I have a son with Autism and this book helped my family understand many of the issues that my wife and I had been trying to explain for years. I actually have ordered 4 books!
A good overview of friendships and autism

The Autism Acceptance Book is an interactive, educational, and character-building book that introduces children to the challenges faced by people with autism while also supporting their personal journey toward appreciating and respecting people's differences.
This book offers educational information, conversation-starters, and engaging exercises that invite children to "walk in someone else's shoes" as they learn to treat others the same ways they would like to be treated themselves.
not what we hoped--but still good

This is not a book so much for parents of children with ASD or for the child themselves. Rather it is an individual workbook for peers and classmates of children with Autism.
great for younger kids, 5-10 yrs old.

Great Book

I found this book to be one of the best written books for children to understand how different we all are. I loved it so much, I brought it to my son's school where his teacher agreed. She read it to the entire class. She asked if she could keep it longer so other teachers could also read it to their class. The school is now buying their own copy!
This book is wonderful!!

What an impact this book has made for our family, friends and our community!!
I have ordered several copies of this book and find that every time I order one, I am giving it to someone to have or pass on. I cannot imagine there is a better compilement of descriptions and illustrations for anyone (young or old) to understand autism.
My son is autistic and I have given copies to family members as well as his special education teachers at school (who have utilized this material to enlighten other children in the school about autism).
