This is a really BIG book! I just got it in the mail today and it is exactly what i was looking for. TONS of worksheets and all of them are so colorful, i know my daughter will love them.

And no, this book doesn't have anything to do with sesame street. No "tv" characters are in the book. Just cute animals. Amazon needs to fix the "look inside" link because it's not correct.

Great Resource

I bought this book for my 3 1/2 year old and she loves working through the pages. I actually tore out all the pages and mixed the order up slightly to make it more interesting since the book tends to stay on one subject for awhile - i.e. coloring blue, then green, then red, etc it became a little boring so I mixed up the pages. My daughter loves the different activities.

Great workbook my son can't get enough of!

My 3 year old son LOVES this book. The pages are all in color and the pictures are cute. He loves to do his "homework" and he doesn't want to put it away. The tracing of letters seems a little advanced, but he enjoys it none the less. There are a few things that seem super-easy, and some things that are a little tough but overall he loves doing every page. He gets a little bored with all the coloring, but it is only a pre-k book and that's a big part of what they do in pre-k. He especially like the pages where you have to match and draw lines to connect things.
I am rating this on how much my son loves it and we have fun doing it together!

My 2 1/2 year old Son loves this workbook! He is still too young to understand a lot of it, but he loves doing his "homework" from it. He enjoys the photos I think. It does a good job at capturing a childs attention.

Great book, but seems like it should go after the K book

This is a great book, but because there are alot of pages that include tracing of words I am personally using this book after I have gone through the Kumon workbooks about upper and lowercase letters. The Kindergarten book in this series has more content and at a higher level, but it does not contain any tracing of words. This seems strange to me, because in Kindergarten is when kids really start learning how to read. Overall the books (Pre-K and K) are definitely worth the investment, I just question the order of the content between the two books and within each book. I ended up going with the School Zone books first and I will do these books afterwards. The School Zone books are definitely at a lower level than these books.

pretty good

This a pretty good very thick book. It really is like a book with a curriculum it has mostly everything you need. It really takes the guess work out what to teach them before they go to school. Some of things included were: opposites, rhyming, colors, shapes, matching, one to one, and writing/tracing. I think any kid would like it.

I purchased this book to work with my 3 year old on preparing her for preschool and it's really great, we go over the alphabet, shapes, colors and tracing letters daily, also opposites and other writing development activities, in just a few lessons I noticed she was already making strides in recognizing the letters, picking out opposites and ryming words. Excellent and well worth the money if you are a stay at home Mom like me, (or even if you aren't) it's a great activity to work on daily with your child.

Great resource EXCEPT for small letters

I bought this book for my 3 year old- she loves it- it is easy for her to understand. I would have given this book 5 stars but, when it has you trace words it is all in small letters and most everything I read says to teach your kids capital letters first and then introduce small letters. That is my only complaint though!

As others have said, it's massive. It has tons and tons of activity worksheets that are easily ripped out. My son is homeschooling and for difficult areas, I can remove one of these worksheets, copy it and have him work on it several times until he is ready to move on. He loves tracing, so I removed a few of these pages and copied them. He can now use them over and over for practice and fun. I am VERY impressed with this and recommend it to anyone.
