A Jedi's Job is Never Done

Star Wars Legacy tells the story of what happens 125 years after the fall of Palpatine's Empire. The struggle of the light side of the force against the dark side of the force has just begun. In this era, the Jedi are again hunted, and the Sith have risen again. This time, the new leader of the Sith, Darth Krayt, has abandoned the rule of two. This spells big trouble for the Jedi, as the number of Sith skyrockets. Another interesting twist to the story is that the Empire has been reformed. While the Empire allied with the Sith to destroy the Jedi, the Sith later turn on the Empire in order to take it over. In this strange twist, the Empire sides with the heroes of the story. The Empire as good guys? This is getting interesting. This is a very compelling story, and I'm looking forward to continuing the series. I recommend this to Star Wars fans who are interested in the Expanded Universe.
Must-read if you are a Star Wars fan!

I'll admit it, I was a little skeptical at first. I mean, 125 years into the future, the Sith come back, there are two new Skywalkers, and the Empire comes back. I don't think many people would'nt be, but those people should get a copy pf this book and read it! The artwork is incredible! You feel like you could reach out and touch the starships! Not to mention the storyline is fantastic. I think that it fits in well with other Star Wars stories.
Great Story and a nice "restart" for the Star Wars universe.

I recently purchased this from my local comic book shop. Reading other people's reviews I was a bit down. Thankfully to me at least the story is entretaining, the characters are likeable and the new Star Wars Universe seems to be in for a new overneeded overhaul.
The story says that the galaxy is back in the empire's hand. What it fails to mention and you as a reader learn, is that the new emperor is completly different from Old Emperor Palpatine. I won't spoil it much, but if you think this story is interesting, give it a try. You might enjoy it.
Great book

I was pleasantly surprised when I read this book. Despite introducing all new star wars characters I think that the storyline is appealing and innovative in certain way. I also appreciate that the sith dogma of there only being a master and an apprentice is not kept in legacy. This allows there to have more lightsaber fights between jedi and sith lords which are illustrated in great detail. Anybody who is a star wars fan will probably enjoy this book
A must read!!

The Jedi Temple is attacked, an Emperor is betrayed, and the Sith are born anew! A lot can happen in a hundred years, but that's just the beginning of the story! Not since Luke Skywalker first stepped aboard the Millennium Falcon has the galaxy seemed like such a vast, exciting, dangerous place! Readers will meet a host of new characters, see fleets of new spaceships, and visit scores of exotic locations - some new and some familiar. This is a perfect jumping-on point for any reader - an epic beginning to an untold chapter of the greatest adventure in the universe!
One of the best Star Wars story in years!!!!!!!

This Star Wars story takes place 125 years after the empire fell. Then a evil sith lord name Darth Krytt comes and tries to kill off the jedi. So you meet Cade Skywalker a descendant of Luke. He neglects his powers and becomes a bounty hunter. These other 2 jedis looking for him. The art is great and the story it is great.
Great entry to LEGACY

I have been interested in Legacy since I first heard the news but I wasn't able to follow the comic on a basis, therefore this compilation put me on the line and show me great surprises along !! Also, often comics get you hanging and are filled with ads, but graphic novels shows you more on a single sit and NO AD to get your attention away !!
The future of the galaxy we fans love is quite wonderful and definitely the Skywalker legacy is alive !! I'm looking forward for the next release and this graphic novel is much recommended !!
Good art?

The story: Rehashed, but interesting anyway. Who hasn't kicked back 80 times in front of the TV to see the same old Star Wars? So, being fed the same predictable storylines isn't a huge issue to someone who likes the universe. However, the army of Maul lookalikes is simply stupid and demeans one of my favorite characters.
The art: Horrifying. Every man is an over-muscled lunk-head and every woman is a sleazy hug-bosomed cleavage-sporter. For the bimbo sidekick, I could understand, but the diplomats? I suppose the galaxy relaxed its standards of propriety in the 130 or so years after Yavin.
Note to the artist: You obviously have a great deal of skill in rendering figures, but the sterotypes are trite, stale, and in this case, extremely sleazy. True artists always carry on about how they want to distinguish their art, but sadly some of the better ones fall into the rut of 1) Using the stylized idealistic stereotypes because they are too lazy to use what is truly out there, and 2) Relying on the computer technology to make up for weaknesses in the technical work. It is all starting to look the same. You have the skill - don't get academic and lazy.
The spirit of the original movie trilogy, but in a great new direction

Over a century after Return of the Jedi, The New Republic is no more. The Jedi Knights are hunted by what appears to be a new Sith empire, and the Galactic Alliance has been decimated by war. The heroes of old that might have made things right are long dead, and the Jedi need an ally - have they found it in the massive Imperial Remnant that was also betrayed by the Sith? Or will these two previous enemies be unable to solve their differences, destroying each-other in the process...
"Broken" is dark, and seems to be inspired more by _The Empire Strikes Back_ than any of the other movies. The main characters may be fighting each-other, but the most important battles are taking place INSIDE of them (one former Jedi must try to overcome his perceived failures or fall into oblivion; a Sith battles the teachings of his order in the hopes of gaining more power). While many familiar aspects do exist in the series (Imperial Stormtroopers, lightsabers, Jedi, etc...), they work to support the new story ideas rather than dominate them.
Star Wars: Legacy Volume 1 collects the six issues from the series' "Broken" story arc (issues #1-3 and 5-7) and puts them into a single paperback volume. For those looking for an entry point into this aspect of the Star Wars universe, this is the graphic novel to buy.
