This was an important resource, when I was trying to help my in-laws understand Asperger's Syndrome. I found it to be a huge help when I was attempting to explain to my husband why my son needed to be treated a little differently than our other children. This is a short concise book, taken from the perspective of a child with Aspergers. Very easy to read.

Can I Tell You About Asperger Syndrome? : A Guide for Friends and Family 2008-04-20
Short and sweet, and very suitable - this simple story helps us expalin AS to our son (12) in a way he can understand, and has provided an uncomplicated way to introduce AS to family and friends. It is a really good springboard for more detailed discussions with those who either want to know more, or need to know more about AS.

This book is a god send. My son has read this book and is now doing so much better. He has even stated that Asperger Syndrome won't hold him back.

An all around great book.... 2008-02-25
I bought this book because my 11 year old daughter has been diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome. Not only did my daughter find it interesting to read a book that told about other people similar to her, but it also came in handy explaining AS to my mother-in-law as well. It has lots of great points for family, friends and teachers. My daughter's principal borrowed it as well to use as an educational tool at school. I would highly recommend this book if you are looking for a simple, easy to understand book about Asperger Syndrome.

Great Resource 2007-10-30
I'm a mother of a 9 year old AS boy. We recently moved so we are starting over with teachers, friends, etc. I purchased this book for my childs teacher and classroom. This will be a resource for the kids to help understand kids with AS and their challenges, as well as an educational tool for the teacher. This book took about 15-20 min to read but was written in 1st person, great simplicity, and true understanding. This is a great book for family members, classrooms, teachers, etc. I will continue to buy this book each year for teachers. "2 thumbs up"!!

Can I Tell You About Asperger Syndrome? : A Guide For Friends and Family 2007-10-06

I was looking for a book to share with family and friends to help them understand the uniqueness of my son who struggles with Aspergers. I sent this book to my son's school and the teacher read it to the class to help them find out more about Aspergers and show that he is not much different from them. This is an excellent book. I recommend it highly. It's not a long book and is suitable for any age child.

My son now knows he's not 'alone' 2007-10-03
I searched everywhere for a book like this. There are books about Aspergers for parents, teachers, etc. But I wanted a book for my 13 year old son. For the first time, my son realizes he's not 'weird', he's not 'odd'. He's not alone. We read through the book together and I've even seen him reading it alone. At 13, an age of transition, this book was exactly what he needed to understand and be proud of who he is.

Great information to share 2007-09-03
This book was exactly what I hoped for. I will be using this book to share with all the fourth grade classes in my son's school this year. Its format is easy to read and understand. Because my son looks and acts so "normal", it is hard for the other kids in his school to understand that he does have some issues. I trust that this book, along with some q & a time with me, will make it clear enough to them.
