Editorial Review
Teachers have to be aware of their pupils' special educational needs. Find out what an acquired brain injury is and how to maximize learning opportunities for those with the condition with this book. The book should help you to: support pupils with an ABI by using appropriate teaching methods; be alert to the social and emotional difficulties experienced by pupils with an ABI; work in partnership with families and other professionals following helpful guidelines; and access all the information you need with a glossary of terms and a list of resources and organizations.

provide this book to every school 2007-05-21
I am starting to get involved in offering neuropsychological rehabilitation for children after brain injury here at the Oliver Zangwill Centre in Ely, England. It was such a relief to discover this book has been written and that it is of consistently good quality throughout. I think that it should be sent to the school of any child who returns to school after brain injury, and that the teachers are given time to read it. At this stage, where I'm new to this aspect of brain injury rehab, I think it covers all the main topics. Seems like good value as well!
