Good, but easily could have been better 2007-11-13
The book offers basic information on creating caricatures. It follows a 16-page introduction to "Facial Basics" with a series of six step-by-step projects in which one of its authors (there are three) discusses how he drew a caricature of the person whose photos are on the project's first page.

The projects' instruction tends to be underdone; however, that's not this section's biggest flaw. In five of the six projects, the caricature that the project's author reveals how he drew does not match any of the photos. In my opinion, if a book's going to provide detailed instruction on how to drew a caricature from a photo, it's essential that the photo used as the reference be provided.

Draw Caricature 2007-10-30
I have bought every caricature book I can find and this one is a little different. It gives you a slightly different perspective which is welcome. For one thing, the author uses pen and ink - medium which I really like.

Great instruction book on drawing Caricatures 2007-05-21
This book is indeed an 'instruction' book on caricaturing. The author teaches drawing 'eyes', 'noses', & mouths and has step by step projects to help the beginner combine the elements into a drawing. Three heads are better than one in this case because the three authors, working together, did a better job than one author, alone, could have done in creating this book. The authors don't, in my oppinion, have the best talent for drawing great caricatures like some other author's works that I've seen. Their ability to take the focus off of themselves and help the student came through in the creation of this book.
