The "pottersaurus" was extremely disappointing.
None of the TRUE "Harry Potter" "fictional words were included. Nothing of Death Eaters, Crumple-Horned Snorkack, etc. If a word wasn't already defined in the dictionary you won't find it here.
Save your money and use a standard dictionary.
Definitive Harry Potter Word Reference 2007-07-22
First I need to say that I know the author of Pottersaurus. I was extremely impressed by the depth and breadth of this book. The author has obviously read the Potter series with a keen eye for great vocabulary. The book will be a superb companion for any child who is interested in getting the most out of the beautiful language that Rowling uses in her work. In fact, I think it would be a useful reference for adults as well, elucidating some of the lesser-known and more colorful haunts in the English language including such gems as Lurgy, Gormless, Taradiddles, and Budgerigars. Anyone who is a true word-nerd will appreciate this book.

The Pottersaurus is a must have companion for any Harry Potter reader. An outstanding resource. The Pottersaurus is well organized and easy to use. Fun too! Both my kids love it!
Perfect for an English Language Arts Room 2007-06-04
I am an English Language Arts teacher in an upstate New York suburban middle school and I think this book is great. My students loved the book. I have a classroom copy on hand that many have borrowed. Not only has Randall picked out relevant, age-appropriate vocab words and defined them, but also, he shows how they are used within the Potter books. The Pottersaurus 1,500 Words Harry Potter Readers Need To Know is a fun book to read and a great resource in an English language classroom. I highly recommend it!
