2006-01-052003-11-29I asked the kids why the main character's name is Juan Ramón instead of Sam, and my nephew said immediately, "Well, it has to rhyme with jamón, of course."
I had purchased this book for my students, but it was obvious I was going to have to get another for my nieces and nephews! At least I have no problem knowing what to get them for birthdays and Christmas gifts! (They certainly don't need any more toys!)

I love this funny and musical version of the english favourite. My son loves it and can even finish the rhymes by now. Even my husband who does not speak spanish (yet!) loves repeating the simple sentences that make this book so much fun. A must in our family bed every morning, a great way to start the day!
My Daughter�s Favorite! 2002-07-08
This book became my daughter's favorite since the first time I read it to her. She's three and a half years old, and I have been reading this book to her at least twice a day since I got it, a week ago. The rhymes are beautiful and my daughter has memorized some of them, which she keeps repeating during the day. Excellent book!

The translator did a great job keeping the fun in
the reading of this book.
My 20 month old baby love it. We used to read the
english version before, and since we found the spanish
version and that is the lenguage we choose to speak
at home, we have "Juan Ramon" visits every evening and
a great laugh from my boy.

I never liked Green Eggs and Ham in English (or Fox in Socks either) because I found Sam so annoying. Give it up already, Sam, I don't like the blasted things! However, to my surprise I found myself really enjoying the translation into Spanish and I don't mind reading it over and over again to my kids. As a translator and conference interpreter myself, I'm delighted with the way the translators solved the rhythm transference. As a mom to bilingual children, I hope there are many more translations of English classics of the caliber of this one.

By the middle of the book i just don't wanna read it any more it gets annoying and my son starts wiggling of he's only one and an avid reader with short story board books but once i get to the middle of this one he's just not having it i guess it's to long for him and annoying to read for me it's all the same thing after and after page huhhhhh!!! or aaahhh!!! no more eggs with ham allready!!!

My 2 year-old loves Dr Seuss books and we decided to get this one in Spanish as we are raising him bilingual. It's very good for a translation as these books are extremely hard to translate.
complicated read 2006-09-01
i purchased go dog go for my son and he loved the spanish version. so i decided to go with green eggs(since i have read it over 50 times)and it was not as easy to follow and the words were a little difficult to relate. i can speak a little spanish and read a little but this book left me struggling.

I bought it for my three year old son, and I can't express how much joy my little one has every night when he goes to bed, he immediately runs to bed and literally ask my wife or me to start reading. I highly recommend it for all the little ones!! ! !, you won't regret it.
