This is a great cookbook for any parent who has a child on the GF/CF diet.
Great purchase

Great source of reference for gluten/casein free diet. Excellent recipes, specially the Quickie Baking Mix and the pancakes. The best gf/cf pancakes that I've tried, and belive me, I've tried many!!!
an excellent resource

I bought this book in conjunction with starting my son on the GFCF diet and it has proven to be a great resource for me! I highly recommend it to anyone who is going down the GFCF road.

Dr. Lewis' "clarity and common-sense approach" to gluten-free and casein-free diets is expanded into a second volume, offering even more recipes, highly appreciated by the readers of her first book, Special Diets for Special Kids.
Way to follow up!

This was a great sequel to Book One. I was excited to see new recipes and the tips you offer are invaluable!

purchased this book for my son and daughter-in-law to help with
my grandson Conor who is overcoming Austistic Spectrum disorder.
Lori says this is her "bible" for advise in caring and feeding her 3 year old.
Buy the first book and borrow this one...

Although this book has some good recipes, it isn't the book the first one is. Her first book had recipes that were much easier to cook and to adapt to your own child's needs (if they had any yeast problems or other allergies). This cook book is good but if you can only buy one, spend the money on the first one or on a Carol Fenster cookbook.
This is a great SEQUEL to the first book

However, you need BOTH Special Diets for Special Kids and Special Diets for Special Kids II - both books go together!! The recipes in this book are great! GREAT HINTS TOO!
