Fun Multiplication

What a fun and easy way to study multiplication!!! My 9, 6, and 4 year old love to listen to this in the car. Nice tunes and you can understand all of the words.
It's True What They Say

I read the reviews for this CD and was hopeful that they were true...and they were! The songs are all different from eachother (unlike another multiplication CD I bought) and very cute. The skip-counting is a real bonus. If you have an auditory learner and/or a music lover, this is a good choice.
OK for an additional study on the Times Tables

Every book helps some but it is hard to listen long enough to grasp it all. My daughter listened a few times but soon plugged her ears. What can I say.

Effective

The music part of this packet is excellent. I've read criticisms about the music, but let's be realistic: it's multiplication tables. It needs to be musically simple and catchy. It's not technically "folksy," but is very similar to the style of music on most CDs for small children. The lyrics in the accompanying book are helpful, but not so much the worksheets. There is one page per number, which assumes that a child is going to master the multiplication tables on the first go-round. I've been printing out supplemental pages each day and doing each number daily for a week. It's catching on where the dry drills weren't.
I can't find quality skip counting music

I am a second grade teacher, and I'm introducing multiplication. I have been searching for a math cassette or CD to help make learning multiplication fun. At this stage I am more interested in the kids learning to count by 2s, 3s,...12s, and making the connection that way. I am looking for music that includes skip counting. Does this cassette include this, and not just times tables? I previously purchased a CD that sang random times tables, and it lacked quality. I don't want to get burned again.
Why Didn't I Buy It Before!?!?!

Catchy melodies, drill and student involvement make multiplication tables to twelve very memorable. A complement of self quizzing music tracks allows students to quiz themselves.
It worked, not as planned, but worked

I bought this CD for my 9 year old nephew and I have to be honest that he hated it. BUT it still worked, I told him to learn them and we'd quit listening to the CD and he learned at lightening speed just to get away from it. The tunes can be a little folksy but I thought it was a good way to learn and it does stick in your head.
The BEST one!

I bought several Multiplication CD's and this was absolutely the best one. It includes skip counting which really has helped my daughter learn her multiplication facts. Buy this one!
Great for Kids!

My child has a processing disorder which make math extremely difficult. She has always been able to learn song lyrics easily, and this CD was no exception. Kids in 2nd grade can get a great start to 3rd grade math by learning to count by multiples of numbers 2 through 12. I would definitely recommend to all kids, especially those who like music, but not learning basic multiplication.
Corny songs, but they work!

My daughter was convinced she was never going to be able to memorize all of those times tables, so I bought this CD. The songs are a bit folkish, but the rhythym suits each table and made quick work of memorization for her. We listen to it in the car and now are listening to Division Unplugged as well. The bonus...my 5 year old AND my two year old can sing most of the times tables as well. They don't know what they are, but that'll come later. Good luck!
