Editorial Review
ANYONE may use this ADVANCED CHARGING USB DATA SYNC CABLE to manage your phone and/or sync your phones full features such as music, pictures, phonebook, videos, messages, files, and more using one or many available software programs (not included) such as Futuredial, Datapilot, BitPim and others that require the official cable.

This cable is manufactured to the exact specifications as required by your phone to use with your computer and software for all data features. Software is required to use this with a computer and software is not sold with this item. Certain phones and carriers may block or disable features on your phone despite what your manufacturer made this cable capable of accessing.

All current software programs will work with this cable but vary in price and available accessible features for each specific phone. In other words, not all phones work equally with all types/brands of software. It is required that you verify your software and/or carrier for details before purchase to verify your phones supported features. If you do require software, please see our other Amazon USB Data Cable Kits that include Software as stated so in the title and description.

Works great on my Macbook! 2008-07-13
I got my data cable in the mail yesterday and when I plugged my phone into my macbook iPhoto automatically came up and asked if I wanted to import all my mobile pictures, which I did. A folder also pops up on my desktop to drop MP3's from my computer to put on my phone. I can also delete MP3's that are on my phone if I want. The only reason I do not give this product 5 stars is because I cannot edit my contacts through my computer. It would be really nice to add phone numbers and email addresses to my phone from my computer because I type much faster on my big keyboard. Maybe there is a way that I just don't know about.

Cable works fine but the software does not work for the LG Rumor. 2008-03-12
The data cable worked right off with my LG Rumor. It was a prefect fit (neither of the connectors were loose). It was also instantly detected on my laptop and I am running Vista Pro. The software, however, does not work and is unsupported (as stated in the product description). This is of no fault of the cable's manufacturer, of course. As far as I can tell, there is no "contacts" editing software out there as of yet that is compatible with the LG Rumor. With this cable, you can manage your mp3's though. Just download the Sprint Music Manager software from Sprint's site and install it. You do need a "USB to phone" cable rather than a bluetooth USB dongle to use the music manager, removable storage or the picture bridge tool options.

I give it four stars rather than five stars not due to quality, but simply because they cannot provide and support software compatible with my phone.
