Best PDA, but still could be improved 1999-01-04
I agree with most of the posts on the site -- this is the best-designed PDA for common tasks. My nits: it should be thinner and sturdier. For example, it will not survive a back pocket, it will look too geeky in a shirt pocket, and it's too thick too look good in an inside jacket pocket.

My other nit is it lacks built-in communications, but I the Palm III goes a long way toward solving that complaint.

the best pda ever 1998-12-05
palm has over 5,000 free programs on the internet and is the best hand held computer. It is fast light small and useable

Don't leave this site without it 1998-11-30
I am a high school student and have used my PalmPilot for several years. It is an invaluable tool in keeping track of assignments, dates, phone numbers, etc. I also signed up with a service called InfoRover that lets me keep an up-to-date, customizable, newspaper on my Pilot. This allows me to know what's happening in the world around me without bringing a newspaper everywhere with me. An excellent product all around.

good size but difficult data entry 1998-11-28
Everyone knows the Pilot is a wonderful take-along source for retrieving data. For a one-way device it's fine. The "graffiti" handwriting recognition takes some getting used to, and most difficult for left handers. Almost impossible to take notes in a meeting because it's so slow. Data entry is best done from your PC/Mac, not from it's screen. You owe it to yourself to check out the Psion Series 5.

A good PDA!! 2007-07-22
This PalmPilot is good at storing phone numbers in Alphabetical order. It has a sensitive touch screen and a bright Backlight. You can get a wide variety of programs and games off the internet. It is Made in the U.S.A!! This palmtop is very sturdy and small in size. The built in touch-screen calculator is very cool. The only complaint about this item is there is only one megabyte of memory. This is a great item!

Palm Pilot Pro 2007-05-28
This is still an excellent PDA, but to syncronize with Office it only works through modem. I have since upgraded to a Palm XT.

Has been working great for the last 7.5 years! 2005-01-15
My PalmPilot Personal has been working great everyday in the last 7.5 years. It only has minor scratches in the graffiti area. I use lower voltage NiMH rechargable batteries with it so I think it is going to last a while. And it is made by US Robotics, and I get some attention when I bring it out of my leather belt clip case and use it.

The Original 2003-10-11
This Palm Pilot Organizer is the original and the best!!!! You Might think i'm crazy you might think i'm not but it is da bomb!!!!!

Love the PalmPilot 1999-04-25
I can do just about anything on my PalmPilot. I like it a lot better than the Franklin Day Planner. Not only that, it's portable so I can write as I go.
