Great for children
2009-04-23
Children learn to plant their own garden with small figures and treasures and watch the plants grow quickly.
Good idea but didn't work out that well for us

It was fun setting it up but it actually got MOLDY! ewww. I think it's because it's a closed container or my daughter just got carried away with watering? Anyway, it got gross pretty fast :(
The gift that keeps giving

We also gave this to our daughter for Christmas, and I have to echo the praise. In the age of noisy, easily broken, and battery-powered junk toys that get abandoned by New Year's, this one is a real winner. My daughter and I spent a fun afternoon during her winter break from school arranging and planting her Wee Enchanted Garden. The best part is, she can water it and check each day to see how much progress it's making as it grows! What a great idea. She loves it. Also recommended -- the Medieval Garden, which created lots of similar fun for her big brother. These Faber Castell people are really on to something great with these kits.
So much fun!!

My kids and I had a great time doing this. And the grass grew so fast we didn't have to wait long to enjoy it! I loved it as much as they did.
Fun, but not the quality expected

I bought 2 Wee Enchanted Gardens: one for my 6-year-old granddaughter and one for a prize for a drawing we were having at my Fitness group at church. When getting the pieces of the garden out to assemble with my granddaughter I was taken aback by the musty smell of its contents and how the railing of the little house broke off in my hands by merely pulling the miniature house out of its packaging. With much care, the wee garden was put together. I do not know if the seeds germinated or not because the one garden went home with my granddaughter who lives away from me and I didn't ask the woman who won the other if she ever put it together.
Great fun!

Kids who like to experience the growing of their own garden will love this Wee Enchanted Garden. It comes with everything they'll need to make an enchanted garden of their own. Arrange the tiny fairy cottage with the green pebbles to make a path, decorate the garden with the rocks, shells, and plastic animals that come with the kit. As the beans sprout and grow, you can cut and shape them so they look like miniature trees. Kit Includes: special planter; paints (three colors); seeds and beans; green pebbles, rocks, shells and plastic animals.
love this over and over

Secret garden all your own
2006-03-15
This is a wonderful Kit, with lots of great seeds & props. We gave this to my son on his 7th birthday , knowing how much he loves plants/flowers & watching seeds grow. Painting your own pot then planting the way you wish around the little cottage was great fun for my little guys (7, 4 & 2). The props are a little bit big for the garden but are still great for creating a beautiful secret garden all your own. We've added extras to ours; little green trees from a birthday cake, toy cars & shells.
Excellent product

My kids are always begging for something to do. this product is the right amount of creativity and "already done" activity. some supervision required, however, kids learn how to take care of plants for weeks after planting. the miracle of growth is clearly demonstrated.
Grandchild Delighted
2006-03-03
I bought this for my 5 year old Granddaughter.I do a lot of gardening at home and she and her older brother have helped (if that is the right word) me when they visit. She was delighted. She painted the pot and planted the seeds. She was a little tardy on the watering but she understands how important that is now. She will enjoy this product for months to come I am sure.
