GREAT Palm pilot case.

I'm guessing from the pricing info above that these are no longer manufactured, but QUICK, order one used while you still can, because these cases are GREAT!
They protect your Palm Pilot in your bag, without accidentally turning it on (when I used the original flip-cover that my Palm Pilot came with, my battery would always run down because it would switch on when it was in my purse).
They're SUPER-easy to put your Palm Pilot in and out of (yes, you will have to remove it from the case to charge it, but that's a piece of cake).
Also: They are reversible, so if you are left-handed, you can put your Palm in "backwards" to the way it's "supposed" to go.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I bought the Palm Vx about 4 years ago for my wife.($...) and this hard case($...). She has loved it and uses it constantly. So, when I recently had a need for one of my own I naturally sought out a Vx. This was hard considering they no longer make them. However, I found a brand new Crensenda(realtor program Vx) with Palm 4.1 OS for $... and then bought this blue hard case for ... cents. It was just as my wifes(exactly) and looks brand new. The case is not supposed to snap. It would be a pain to open if it did and you DO NOT have to remove it to put it in the cradle. Simply open the case fully and center the PDA then place it in your cradle that you have elevated enough so the back case does not touch the table top. Simple and easy and it is a custom fit without bulkiness. This hard case is nice and just what I know it to be. I ordered a leather case with a belt clip too. My hard case will fit perfectly.
Beautiful design 2003-01-29
The design of this product is sleek, professional, and efficient. Using it, I can put the Palm in my pants pocket and not worry about accidentally turning on or damaging the Palm. I had bought a Sony Clie t-615, but decided to go back to a Palm Vx because I wanted to use this case more than I wanted the functionalities of a color palm product without the possibility of using this kind of case.
protects rather well, but for a price

I found it expensive when buying it, but I needed something to protect my Palm Vx. I wanted handle my Vx not differently than I would handle a paper agenda: always in my jeans' back pocket. Without hard case that would not have been possible.
Pros: good protection, I dropped it several times on hard ground and the palm survived, only a few dents in the plastic of the hard case. And I am sitting on my palm Vx most of the time - try all that with a soft case... "plastic" does not mean its not sturdy, there is even a positive point in having a case which can distort a bit during shock, and this composite aluminium/plastic case does well. Nice looks, and there is room for the graffiti reference sticker and a few business cards in it.
Cons: it definitely depresses the contrast button, which is a nuisance. I will shave off a bit of the case to avoid that. And it makes holes in the cloth of the jeans' pocket... the price I bought it was definitely a bit too high. And you have to open it to put it in the cradle - but it is livable.
All in all, if you find one, do not throw it away! Especially if the price is lower than the original price.
Very disappointing

I was amazed that this sells for over $[money]. I was fooled by what looked like a sturdy and attractive case. It is poorly made out of cheap plastic - I expected much better from Palm. It doesn't close properly and makes hotsyncing difficult.
There are better cases out there.
Mistake 2008-06-24
I've had a case for 9 years which finally failed. I ordered this case expecting it to be the same as my first case. That assumption was based on the picture and description shown on AMAZON.
Buyer BEWARE.
- What I ordered and what I received were not the same.
- It only took about 4 hours for me to be ready to throw this case in the trash.
- Its front creased the first time I put it in my pocket.
- It depresses the scroll button when you shut the lid and drains your battery as well as scrolls into the twilight zone.
- The clasp is a joke and opens w/o resistance.
- The corners are sharp and gouge whatever they touch.
- I will have to admit, however, it looked good on the website.
I'm looking for a replacement.

Had my PalmVx for five years... 2005-01-11
...but rarely took it out of the house because I didn't have a protective case for it (I had the leather folding screen cover). So my beloved buys me one for Christmas, and I am overjoyed! Finally I can take it out!
It was a happy two weeks. Note the date I write this review, for yesterday I removed my "hard case" from my jacket pocket to jot a note and opened it to discover my Palm Vx screen was cracked. My Palm Vx now forever dwells in an eternal purgatory of digitizer targeting, asking me over and over to please confim where the X is on the screen.
Now, if you're like my parents your first question will be "How did you break it?". I did nothing except put it in a "hard" case and take it outside (in my inner coat pocket) in a Minnesota winter. I did not leave it out in subzero weather. I am not a fighter pilot, or a demo car driver, or a cage match fighter. I did not roll my car while I was driving. I am a nondescript little office drone who took my Palm Vx out to go furniture shopping.
I do not recommend this product. It's a cheap little slippery flimsy clamshell that offers no protection whatever and if you trust your Palm to it, both your Palm and your heart will wind up broken.

Made my Palm truly accesible. 2004-01-03
This hard case really enhanced the use of my Palm by allowing me to carry it everywhere in my back pocket. By having it accesible all the time my Palm has become a great enhancement to orginizing my appointments and address book. I love this. If I ever upgrade my Palm to a new model I will be sure to get the hardcase for that model as well.
