Bucket Boss Drill Holster Not Holding Up At Seams
2007-11-04
I used the drill holster onsite for a couple of days, climbing
walls and installing metal siding. At the end of just three days
the most critical seam, where the handle rests on the holster is
failing. It is not going to remain useful for any length of time.

I bought their tool belt which is great but the snap broke the very first day I owned this rendering it useless. It was too much trouble sending it back since I threw away the packaging. Disappointing quality.

You know the drill: use drill, leave it somewhere, need drill, go find drill. repeat. Problem solved with this holster. Well built, sturdy, fits every drill I've put into it. Has a stap which goes over the handle which keeps drill from falling out when you're crawling around. I am absolutely pleased with this rig, it's handy, and has cut down on my aggravation level has my drill is always on hand. I feel the same way about Bucket Boss Tool Bags too!
Bought it... collects dust... Bought drill Hook

Just get the hook, this holsterfits my drill fine but when you are on a laddertrying to move around it is too bulky.
ok for some things

Not for use with small drills or impact guns...not for use with drill bits (will stab your self guys think about it...lol) but good for general use drill like say 18v dewalt or such...just remember no drill bits...darn that smarts...lol
Might be good for some...

The Bucket Boss 54006 Drill Holster fits all manner of regular and cordless drills and features a retention strap to keep your drill where you want it to be. A padded extension protects your leg, and riveted stress points keep this holster strong. Four pockets hold drill and screw bits, and the Cordura nylon protects your drill from the elements.
Won't work for T handle or small drills

although the construction is impecable the holster really needs a leg belt to stay stable, also the pouch will not work well with t handle drills like a milwaukee, or small drills like 7.2 volt B&D. works greak with dewalt, but thats it as far as i can tell, better off buying the hook...
Bucket Boss Holster 1st

I like everthing about this item. I was especially pleased with the small pockets, how convenient to have your bits and some screws at your side. I do, however, wish this holster had a leg strap. It tends to roll backward somewhat. But, would I buy another one, you bet I would. Thanks, Dennis Odom
A great tool belt accessory

Lightweight and effective. Works very well with drills up to 14.4 volts. Larger drills do not balanced well. If you use your drill on a regular basis, you will like having this holster.
The best holster you can buy

I agree , this is better than any other available holsters. It does protect your leg. Thats in itself makes it superior. In addition you get extra storage in the side pockets. Kind of like having a mini bucket boss right there in front of your tool bags. It's still not secure enough for me though. I hate when my drills take a dive. They get dropped enough as it is. Who has the patience to strap a drill in every time they use it? I've been on a lot of jobs and have seen hundreds of drills in holsters. I've seen about two that were actually strapped in.The only holder I trust completely is the Prazi Big Lugg. It is far superior for keeping your drill stuck to your side. Just drop it in and you're good to go. Bend over, lay down , jump , It doesn't matter. It's still there. Impossible with a holster. So I have mixed feeling about this product. It is the best in it's class. But I think that class is losing favor with the Big lugg on the market.
