Editorial Review
mfr: Cepco Tool Company Hardwood Flooring Jack - A versatile jack for straightening and joining materials of all sizes over any surface! Pulls boards in with ease! No more wedges, chisels, or damaged boards. NO MORE GAPS! SAVE time, material, effort, and $$$

STOP DOING IT THE HARD WAY!

Work over any surface! Use over wood sub floors, concrete subfloors, or open joist construction. Incredibly powerful. Join 3/4" strip flooring, 2x10 decking, 4'x8' plywood, 2x8 roofing. Offers hands free holding of material. Jack will hold position hands free ! Jack has 12" of travel. Length of jack is 24" fully retracted.

Working away from wall: Simply slide jack over desired length 2x4. No need to fasten jack or 2x4 in place. Turn side wind crank. Jack will self lock to 2x4 and squeeze flooring. To disengage from 2x4 just tap lock bracket with hammer.

Working near wall: Press directly off wall (or brace, if finished wall). Turn sidewind crank. Itªs that simple.

The best question we hear from customers installing flooring for the first time: "How do they do it without it" When we explain how its done without it (wedges, chisels, clamps, etc.), they are quite thrilled that we showed them a better way.

Many applications - not just a hardwood flooring tool! Be creative!

I'll give it 5 stars to be fair. It is an excellent idea. 2006-03-26
After using a friends, I decided to buy my own, but balked at the price. A trip to Northern Tool for a trailer jack, and about $10 worth of parts from HD, and I had an equally functional and more attractive tool for less than $50. I've now made about half a dozen because they really are very useful, but not for $150 each.

A real help. 2003-10-21
What a great use of a very simple concept. The guy who came up with this idea is pure genius. A must have for installing wood floors.Quickly and easily closes gaps without damaging the flooring.Simple setup makes it an effecient tool to use. It's worth every penny.

Great tool for hardwood flooring 2002-06-13
The Cepco floor jack is a fantastic tool if you are installing hardwood flooring and want really tight joints in those areas next to a wall where you cannot get a flooring nailer. Instead of using screwdrivers, chisels, or wedges to force the flooring together, the floor jack simply presses it into place with no bother and no fuss.

I recommend using a 2x4 or 2x6 at least 36" long against the wall that you are going to press against to keep from damaging the wall or pushing a single stud out of place. The wall jack can generate a lot of force and in the hands of a careless installer it could dislocate a wall or partition.

While this tool is designed primarily for installing hardwood flooring, creative carpenters will undoubtedly find many was to use this tool to precisely move framing members. It is worth every penny that I paid for it.

A Must-have Tool for DIYers 2008-05-21
Sure it's pricey, but worth every penny. Once you get the hang of this tool, you'll be glad you have it when you're faced with those pesky floorboards that, for whatever reason, don't want to cooperate. This tool is particularly useful when you're getting close to a wall and you don't have enough room to swing the pneumatic nailer hammer to smack the floorboards together. For my hardwood flooring project, which was my master bedroom, I had a number of closets and a fireplace to contend with--in other words, a lot of tight spaces where this tool proved invaluable. Without this tool, the floor certainly wouldn't look as good as it does and I would have gone crazy trying to get a tight fit (or I would have mashed my fingers trying). Whoever came up with this gadget really came up with something useful, heavy-duty, and sanity-saving.

FLOORING dealer 2007-07-26
GREAT TOOL! If you put down solid wood flooring, you have to have this. Well worth the money.

Wow real time and money saver! 2007-07-03
This product is a must have if you are laying hardwood flooring. Most of my wood was less than straight, this jack worked out great. Even if your wood is straight, it really helps out along the edges, keeping a tight joint while you face nail. Without this product I would have had a lot more waist due to bent/warped boards.

Use of floor jack 2007-03-22
I purchased the QJ11, to assist in the installation of hardwood flooring. The jack works as described and allowed me to install the floors with minimum waste, as I was able to straighten bowed strips. The only reccomendation I would make, to the tool, is to add some sort of protection to the unused foot mounting bracket, to prevent possible scratching of finished flooring.
