Great multitool

In my humble opinion, the best supertool around, and I own probably two dozen of them that I've collected over the years. The tool exhibits a fit and finish better than anything else out there, and one great feature is that the tools fold out from the outside of the handle. It featured a positive locking mechanism when most of the other tools still had yet to offer it, including the famous Leatherman. Even with all the innovative multitools of recent years with each new one trying to outdo the other, this took remains head and shoulders above the rest. Next to this, as with a previous reviewer, I would rate the Leatherman Supertool as best.

ITS good Im to lazy to write a long review but this is definetley better than the leatherman. And a better price the wave is like 70 dollars and this is 50 you wont be dissapointed with this product!

One Tough Tool

I've owned this multitool for five or six years, using it for everything from wiring, drywall and plumbing to skinning a beaver. It has withstood tremendous use, and some abuse. I find the serrated blade to be most useful. The pliers are sturdy enough to do almost everything except the heaviest work you would normally use a lineman's pliers for. The more typical "Swiss Army" tools (e.g. screwdrivers, blade, bottle and can opener) work just like they do in a typical SAK. I've used the saw a few times to cut small branches and drywall, and it seems as sharp as new. The only damage I've been able to do was to dull the wire cutters a bit; I only use them now on copper, and I overtorqued the smallest driver and twisted it a bit. It seems to fit better in the hand than the Leatherman, though I haven't owned one of them.

Great knife, needs better wire cutters.

Everything about this knife is better than my leatherman super tool, except the shorter needle nose, and the wire cutters on the needle nose are half the length.

Better than Leatherman

I bought this as a gift for my husband, who does logging for a living, and he loves this knife. According to him it is better than his Leatherman, which he loves. Very well-made.

Great quality, super sharp

I like this multi-tool a lot. I took it camping in the grand canyon and tried the knives, can opener and a screwdriver. All worked very well. I even cut myself with the knife. You really need to be careful with the blades they are extremely sharp. I'm really impressed with the quality, but since it's from Victorinox I'm not really surprised.

If you like tools, and like swiss army knife you must have one of this series. Obviusly is not for a work shop but it's an excelent help in the field. And it came with a belt bag.

very handy tool

I bought this as a gift for someone who used the same one (for work and as a carrying around everywhere item) all the time before it was lost. This tool is very handy and has been a lifesaver at times, especialy in places you wouldn't have a tool box laying around. It is a little heavy and somewhat hard to get the tools out if you don't have fingernails or a good grip, but it is reliable, heavy duty, and gets the job done. Nothing has ever broken or bent on this multi-tool.

Man's Best Friend!

I purchased my swisstool when I came back from my tour in south korea back in August 2000. I've still got it today and it works great. I've been in Europe, Asia, Kuwait, and Iraq and it's nice to have. The Army had given me a leatherman and I used it till I shopped around and saw the swisstool. I quickly noticed the flaws from the leatherman, like you don't have to open up the tool to get a knife or screwdriver out. It's quick access. I've given this as a gift to my dad and brothers. This tool is the best among other multi-tools.

Gets more use than any tool in my tool box- it will yours too

I have two of these multi tools now. I thought I lost my old one and I just can't live without it. Soon after I found my old and am thankful for that these tools are great. If you get one you'll love it. You'll use it more than any other tool you own. Kepp it on you hip and you never need to look for a typical screw driver, pliers or cutting edge again. can save you allot of time digging through you tool box or truck. My father buys the $90.00 leatherman but thats only becuase his work pays for them and there supplier only stocks leatherman. But he agrees that this tool is better built than his. This tool pouches last longer than the leatherman pouches do. I recently bought another one for my brother and he has it with him everyday at work or trout fishing on the lake we all love them. and the make wonderful gifts.
