Well you might not, but I do. I work for a commercial cabinet company and have found this to be an invaluable tool over the last 25 months. I know this already has a lot of reviews, but I wanted to say I have owned it for two years and it is still dead on. I ordered the smaller Denali the other day since I need to measure tight spaces once in a while and it was off by .7 so I sent it back. I will most likely give it another try and I know it is 1/4 - 1/5 the price (depending on the day you log on to Amazon) but I saw no way to adjust it when it was off so very far.

This is a quality product, or at least mine has been.

Just keep in mind that each leg is 16" long. It's a big tool but quite handy for crown etc. Not much use for small applications.

only one stupied think that you have to setup each time slope angle that's really unconfortable and poor

This miter finder takes away all the thought and lets you do the cutting. Comes in handy for multiple aplications. Worth every penny, and a penny is worth even more than that.

for crown moulding ----- my charts are faster --- by far

I found everything about the construction of ths tool to be of the highest quality. With the exception of the one thing I purchased this tool for (crown moulding) it is an incredible timesaver.

Unless I mis-read the instructions, which is always possible (doubtful, but possible) the spring angle has to be re-entered each and every time prior to making a corner angle measurement. Considering that an entire run of crown will have the same spring angle, the simple act of resetting the spring angle at each and every corner makes using my Starrett dial protractor & chart faster.

Considering the otherwise OUTSTANDING quality of the tool, I was very disappointed at this and the fact that it will not 'miter split' a corner without a spring angle.

I sent Bosch an email regarding all of this while the tool lounged around in the trunk of my car (boxed for return to amazon). After a week with no reply from Bosch, I set the box free from my trunk at UPS for its return & my refund. Amazon processed my return with ZERO headaches! Thank you Amazon[...]

Great Product

I got this after I got tired of trying to read the scale and is that 44.5 degrees or 44.2...the angles are exactly right with the bosch. I would recommend this to anybody doing a crown molding project, it will save you multiple trips back to the miter saw.

The product may be good but it needs better instructions. I can not find more instructions anywhere.

The product is excellent, however, I believe it should come with a permanent storage case to store it while not in use. If there is such a container, it should be listed along side the product, even if is for additional cost.

No more pretty close

I work in a furniture factory. We have at least 5 of these in use by tool makers, engineers and quality. Before we got these we used a $300 Starett to get +/- 1 degree. Now we use these to get +/- 0.1 degree. Quality and precision are way up. Get the leg extension if you want to use the inside surface. It would be almost useless to us without the leg extension. Between this and the Smart Tool, we are making much better furniture now than two years ago.

Best tool in the shop.

You need this tool, you want this tool, buy this tool. This tool has changed both the accuracy and the quality of my work. I'm not sure how we got by without one.
