top notch level

This is my second stabila torpedo level and I just can't see using anything else. With its magnetic edge, it a great 3rd hand (so to speak) in tight spots.
Great Level

If you work with metal and you need to use both of your hands, you need this level. Everyone in my crew uses one daily. Magnets hold up to drilling or cutting tasks.
It's a torpedo level can it be loved?

I've had a few in my day, torpedo levels. This one is the best ever! The Stabila vials are the best in the business. This uses the same ones as their box beam levels. The magnets are cyco strong. It's never come loose from the roof of my truck where I keep it. If you use a simple torpedo for your work, you'll dig this one. It rocks!! \m/
A pleasure to use

I'm a remodeler and have found tons of uses for this little level. First off, it's extremely solid and reliable, so I'm more likely to use it. I previously owned a torpedo level that was partially plastic and didn't give very accurate readings (so I often didn't even bother using it). The large bubble on the Stabilia is very easy to read. The magnets are so powerful that the level can stick to corner bead that's being hit with a pneumatic stapler or ductwork that I'm tapping into place. I love being able to stick it onto ducts when I'm in cramped attics or on roofs and know that it won't fall off. It frees up my hands to hold tools, move materials, or balance myself when I'm in precarious locations. The Stabilia's shape makes it easy to put into my toolbelt as well.
Stabila, is there any other?

Life is too short to buy cheap tools. There is only one name in levels. STABILA. If you're going to INVEST in a level for LIFE, it's STABILA. I have never seen a subcontractor who isn't impressed with the quality of a Stabila. I have also never heard of a bad Stabila level.'Nuf said. Pay the money, keep it close and you'll pass it on to your kids.
worth every penny

Stabilla Torpedo Level Review
2008-04-08
I do not need the 30 or 45 degree bubble, so for me the Stabilla is better than the checkpoint in every aspect except for the need of a magnet on the end of the level, for when bending stubs in conduit.
European Industry Standard
2008-03-18
These indestructible torpedo levels are the industry standard in the UK and much of Europe for people who erect Steel tube and clamp scaffolding. The magnets are strong enough to hold even on the curve of 2"OD pipe. Of course they work just fine on metal studding.
I've owned one of these for over a dozen years and use it frequently at work (in the motion picture industry.)
They are pricey enough that you do not want to leave them lying around a job site... but if you don't lose it, you will use it forever.
Stairs Top 20
2008-01-31
I use this Stabila 10-inch level almost every day. I use it a lot on stairs. I attached it to my outside skirt board jig to plum my risers & I use it to level my stairs threads front to back. This is hands downs my favorite little level.
If you want a cheap level don't buy this product.

But, if you want a precision instrument which lives up to all the needs of a level, this product is the best. I am a metal sculptor and unbeknownst to most people metal sculpture is heavy and lethal when it isn't installed properly or when the construction is shoddy. Exterior sculpture is susceptible to the elements wind, rain snow and the upheaval of deep frost. So I purchased this level for several reasons the manufacturer's reputation, the rare earth magnets and the inclinator. The magnets are incredibly strong and hold their position on metal surfaces. I checked the level for accuracy it was dead on. It is worth the price so buy it you won't be sorry.
