AccuSet nailers are made by Senco, the same folks renowned for their professional-grade air tools. Though affordably priced, these nailers have all the versatility and features you expect from quality nail guns. This micropinner (perfect for hobbyists) shoots 1/2- to 1-inch pins. There's a fastener-length adjustment on the magazine. The gun is lightweight, with a comfortable grip, and it fires smoothly and quietly. The exhaust ports to the rear. The gun comes in a durable safety case with a user's manual, lubrication (regular lubrication is required maintenance for all AccuSet nailers), a set of tools, and the safety glasses you'll need. This nailer is bottom-loading, which means you pretty much turn the gun upside down to access the magazine and change nails. While this is a good solid gun designed with the home user in mind, there is a safety concern prospective buyers should keep in mind: for reasons we can't quite understand, this model does not come equipped with a safety depression tip--which means that any time a user pulls the trigger (on purpose or accidentally), the gun fires a pin, no matter where the gun is pointing. Unplugging the air hose before changing nails will reduce the risk of injury, and, of course, you should always wear the safety glasses that come with the nailer--AccuSet includes them for your protection. --Brian Trinen Cached date: AWS Called=true
