Editorial Review
This innovative oscillating sprinkler design can water medium-to-large yards, is fully adjustable, and comes with a built-in timer and flow control mechanisms. While many oscillating sprinklers allow you to adjust the range of the spray, this one also provides adjustments for controlling the width and the water flow. At the highest water pressure (56 psi), the width can be adjusted from 13 to 56 feet and the range from 23 to 69 feet. At low water pressure (28 psi), the width can be set from 11-1/2 to 47-1/2 feet and the range from 19-1/2 to 56.7 feet. The timer allows you to select watering times from 15 to 120 minutes, or it can be bypassed for constant flow. Gardena includes its Quick Connector hose adapter for easy time-saving hose changes and a special needle for keeping spray nozzles clean. The Aquazoom provides all the versatility and design features you could ask for in an oscillating sprinkler.

The Poor Pay Twice - Or you buy this one. 2008-07-13
If you pay for quality you should get it - and this product delivers. I had gone through several "Craftsman" brand and "Walmart" stocked garbage and decided to roll the dice on this grey and orange workhorse about 3 yrs ago. It works, it's reliable, and it's worth the price. My biggest fear is that it will get stolen.

Oh, and on the Sears/Craftsman product, they leaked at the connection. I foolishly tried to contact the buyer for lawn equpment at Sears HQ in Chicago, they wouldn't speak to me. Heaven forbid Sears heard from their customers that they were shipping crud. This was before Kmart bought them out. Figures.

very happy with this sprinkler love all the options for sizing and the timer is great that way you can really water.

Great sprinkler - would recommend 2008-07-06
Great coverage area and great overall sprinkler. Some earlier posters claimed that it was fragile, I have had it for about two months now and have used the heck out of it and I disagree with them. It is mostly plastic, but it is just as sturdy as the other plastic ones out there. I do want to point out (as someone else did) that it is a really long sprinkler with some weight to it, so if you are carrying it around by the hose, you just might break the connector off. Just use a bit of care when moving it around and you will be fine. Timer works great and the variety of spraying widths is great - this thing has a crazy long spraying range.

The only thing that kept me from giving it a 5 is the connector that it came with. Instead of screwing the hose straight on to it, you must use the quick connect connecter that comes with it - this would be great if I had other devices that used the quick connector, but I don't, so it actually makes it a *little* more cumbersome.

I would definitely not hesitate to buy another one or recommend one to someone else though.

GREAT LAWN SPRINKLER 2008-07-05
I truly like this sprinkler. Yes, its a bit over priced, but it does a very nice job. One can adjust water flow, the range of motion you want the sprinkler to reach as well as the width of the path. It also comes with a timer that shuts off the water, for those of us that often forget the water is running. The only thing of concern to me at this point is the "quick connect" feature. I forget that it is there and unintentionally grab the sprinkler by that end. Which of course pulls the quick connect right off the sprinkler with the hose attached. I would much rather do without that quick connect feature, but its not a big enough reason not to be satisfied with this product.

So far, so good! 2008-06-27
We've had this sprinkler for over a month now, and it's working fine.

The spray wasn't quite as long/wide as I'd hoped, but I haven't measured.

It's easy to use, but I wish it had come with SOME directions...

Good Idea 2008-08-02
The product is as advertised. It has many features, but the automatic shutoff is not useful in practice as it would seem. It puts a great pressure on the garden hose if not manually shut off right away. It also can spray you if the pressure is not released before the sprinkler is disconnected.

I like the ease of adjusting the sprinkler. Those work well and are very easy to get like I want them.

Excellent Product - Highly Recommended. 2008-07-22
This is a Great Oscillating sprinkler. Simply smooth operation with maximum control on the length, breadth and flow of the water. Built-In Manual timer is a big plus.

I used melnor & orbit's 3900 Sqft range sprinklers and they broke shortly after couple of months of usage.

The Gardena sprinkler, I now have it adjusted to where it adds water to every inch of my Yard. No Leaks at any points, distributes water evenly. Saves more water. The Sprinkler is big when compared to normal sprinklers. I like the height as it can sit on top of the Turf and oscillate properly, due to low heights also, sometimes the oscillating gears might get messed up on other sprinklers.

Highly Recommended.

Excellent Sprinkler 2008-07-19
I bought this sprinkler last summer and I used it all through till fall and this year we took it out again in springtime and it's still going strong. We have an irregular shaped front yard with a walking path at the end of it and a little path of grass after that to the curb, we can adjust and customize the spray of this sprinkler to suit our needs. I may have gotten a good piece or I just use it differently but mine has not stopped working even once, it doesnt stick at all. We keep it in the yard attached to the hose and bring it in when it starts to turn chilly in the fall, it doenst get much handling other than when we move it to a different spot. I have tried one other sprinkler and was not too happy with the coverage. This one gives excellent coverage and is very easy to change the spray width and intensity on. Overall a good sprinkler.

Amazing sprinkler! 2008-07-17
This sprinkler so impresses me that this is the 1st product review I have ever written! I've been a internet user/buyer since about day 1 of the internet. Yes, I have had it had it only a week! But I have used other Gardena products including their other oscillating sprinkler for years with no complaints. I bought this one just so to suplement my other and not be dragging the one sprinkler continously from back to front to side etc. However now I think it is the only one I use and will have to buy another.

My garden is all manner of narrow and odd shaped planting strips. This thing allows me to put the water EXACTLY where I want it. Granted, as long as it is a rectangle.. Maybe their next product will let you create figure 8¡¦s or smiley faces º !!!

1. The spread adjusters on either side really work. Pull both in to center and it will cast a shower back and forth not much wider than the sprinkler itself. I have a strip of garden (one of many) maybe 6' wide by 40ft with fence at the back and the front edge is rockery. I can water a 20' stretch of that by narrowing the spread. The fence doesn't get wet but the plants against the base of the fence get perfectly watered. The plants on the inner edge of the rocks get watered but the outer edge of the rocks I can make almost bone dry.

2. The flow control at the base makes so much sense... I had just purchased an in-line flow valve a few weeks ago just for this purpose before I saw this sprinkler.. I will still use it on my older Gardena hand sprinkler. I used the Aqua zoom to soak a shrub and some clematis wedged in 2¡¨ gap between another fence and the edge of a deck. No problem! Just turn the flow down to get a 1ft-2ft high sprinkle and pull in both the back and forth and side-side adjustment. I get a really gentle 2 x 1 foot little sprinkle. It¡¦s slow enough that it doesn¡¦t puddle and run off. The small shrub is on an incline. Not a drop of water on the fence or deck that are about 1ft in either direction from the sprinkler.

3. Timer and simple on/off at the sprinkler, not my faucet, just makes sense. Always running back to the faucet to turn it off when wanting to pick the sprinkler up and move it and not send water all over the place. Here you can just wait until it¡¦s point away, step in, turn off¡K

4. It oscillates with very little water flow. But this is what made me love my first Gardenia oscillating sprinklers..

5. Oddly, this thing oscillates FAST. Seems to oscillate about twice as fast as what I¡¦m used to. That is almost a problem. You don't have much time to dash in, tweak the pattern and get out of the way before getting wet.

However the side-side adjustments pretty much negates this problem and really make adjustment easy. And the higher speed means not waiting as long to see if the pattern is right, maybe that is why they did this. If you are on say the left of the sprinkler you can put that side straight up and the water will go straight up and you can sit 2 ft to the left and not get wet. While doing this you adjust the back and forth, water flow and the angle on the right side to your hearts content. Savor and entire latte while doing this if you like! Then when that is just where you want it wait until it oscillates down to the low angle (which is only a few seconds), move the left side adjustment out so the water is at the left edge of where you want and, well, move out fast! It does, as I mentioned oscillate faster than I¡¦m used to seeing. It will be back to straight up in a few seconds. However the net result is I¡¦ve never wasted as little water watering things I don¡¦t want.

In summary I've never had had as much precision in watering and this is important to me because I am not wasting any water. It is versatile and I use for almost everything except planter pots. You can water a big yard or just give a long soak to a single rose bush.

Great Sprinkler! 2008-07-14
I've had this sprinkler for over 4 years with no problems. The built-in timer is great if you are prone to forgetting that you left the sprinkler on. The adjustability is great, so you can customize the water pressure and the size of the area you are sprinkling without watering the sidewalk. Combined with the quick-connects, this is the best sprinkler I've ever owned. If you want it to last, don't let your kids use this sprinkler to run through. I made the mistake if letting my kids run through one of my old sprinkers and they stepped on it, which bent it out of shape.
