incredible long life

I purchased one recently to augment(not replace) one that I bought over 10 years ago. They both are going strong. O-ring has been replaced twice in the old one. The best thing about them for me is they will oscillate at very low flow, allowing precision watering of small beds.
Excellent sprinkler 2008-06-13
This is an excellent quality sprinkler. I have a wholesale plant nursery and use these type sprinklers in our display gardens. 4 sprinklers I purchased last year, manufactured by Melnor lasted less than a full season. A slightly larger, out of production, Gardena model, similar to these from Gardena is still working after perhaps 12 seasons. There is apparently some licensing or such relationship with US firms and Gardena, because I see the name, but the real item from Gardena is far superior and worth any premium.
This vendor supplied them as expected. Good service.

Love the Aquafan..... 2008-05-31
After years of being disappointed one way or the other with other sprinklers I finally found the Gardena Aquafan. I love the way it is so easy to adjust to the space I want to water, whether large or small, square or oblong, and the even way it covers all the area without flooding or pooling in one place while missing others.
As mentioned by others I find that it can work very well even at low pressure if I start it out at a higher pressure and then turn down.
Mine is a few years old and still doing the same gentle and even rainfall type of fantastic job. I must admit that I take good care of my tools and Garden stuff, store them away in the winter, keep them clean, don't bang them around, and then they seem to take good care of me.
In my opinion this sprinkler is another reliable and innovative product from Gardena that's like no other.
It quit working after a few hours

My gardener loaned me this item and it worked great and was perfect. He wanted his back so I ordered one.
I read the reviews on this site and other sites and observed a trend of owners of this item having trouble.
My water is very clean, I treat equipment gently; I was certain I would avoid the problems suffered by others.
My wonderful sprinkler worked a few hours and stopped oscillating.
I telephoned the company and was not happy with the call. Essentially I was told that mine was the first one that ever had a problem and the reports on internet sites were just representative of possibly a few problems out of the hundreds of thousands of sprinklers sold and blah, blah, blah.
They offered that if I would pay to the ship the item to them, they would look at it and tell me what was wrong.
I'm not investing any money or time in this item. I can see a trend developing even if the manufacturer doesn't.
This, in the past, was a good product. Obviously, something has gone wrong and the manufacturer won't recognize that fact.
I ignored the warnings and bought one anyway. Good luck to you if you choose to buy one of these items.

I HAVE SEVERAL GARDENA PRODUCTS AND HAVE BEEN MOSTLY SATISFIED BUT I SHOULD HAVE TRUSTED THE REVIEWS ON THIS ONE ITEM. IT IS SUB STANDARD. LEAKED FROM THE BOTTOM ON THE FIRST USE AND HAS AN UNEVEN SPREAD.
Gardena lawn sprinkler 2005-09-21
I've had many lawn sprinklers before and I certainly feel this Gardena sprinkler is the best--the very best for watering a lawn and/or flower beds. Price is right too!
Worked for less than a day. 2005-05-23
I purchased this from Amazon two weeks ago, and the first time I set it up and used it I was very impressed. It has a wide and thick spray of water, and it did a wonderful job. I moved the sprinkler to another area and it quit working. No movement, just a spray of water.
I tried everything from changing the water flow to manually moving the mechanism. Nothing worked.
I figure it cost me twenty bucks to water a small part of my yard for half an hour.
Avoid this product.
