great grill

have used the George Foreman Grill, then bought this one - love it! The only downside is that it doesn't close all the way when grilling thick steak or chicken, but it still works fine. Grills quickly, and is VERY EASY to clean (unlike the Foreman grills.) I'd highly recommend it.

I got this from a friend, and let me tell you, it is a great item! It is easy to use (but kind of hard to clean, especially with greasy foods). The grease drains very well into the holder. Foods cook fully, and rarely did I have to worry about dry meat. A hint for future buyers: the best way to clean this is to warm it up. With a spray bottle, spray water all over the grill. When you see the water start to sizzle, wipe off with a paper towel. It takes seconds to clean. The cup is a little harder, though, that will take a little longer in the sink. But I highly recommend it!
Doesn't Work after 10 Months

If you only need to use this ... for a year or less, buy it. I bought mine last May and it recently stopped heating altogether. Also, don't expect it to drain well, since there is not much of a tilt. Clean-up is not the best either.

I was in the market for an indoor grill so I decided to get this one cuz I got it for a very good deal. When I did receive it and tried it out, boy was I ever dissappointed at these indoor grill. This one particularily, I didn't like at all. This auto timer thing...not good. You turn the dial all the way up, put your meat in, and your food is not even cooked yet and time's up. They say it will drain the "fat fluid". NOPE! Not tilted in any way for the excess fluid to go. It all stays with your meat. Double grill? Na-ah. Fold the other half and your grill is going to tip over. Plus the 2nd half does not even have a place for your fluid to drip. ...

This grill performs much better than expected. Burgers, chicken and fish are great. Clean up is relatively easy. A super way to put have a meal on the table in no time at all. Great value.

Preheat this electric grill for 5 minutes, and it will cook steaks in about 5 minutes--both sides at once because the lid is fitted with a 12-by-6-inch nonstick grill just like the bottom. Burgers, chicken breasts, and fish cook about as quickly, while pork chops require 10 minutes. That's with the lid closed. But the lid also opens flat to double the grill surface--in case company shows up ravenous for corn, onions, tomatoes, and other foods imbued with that distinctive caramelized flavor that only comes from cooking on a grill. Cooking on this grill is healthful, too, as fat drips from foods into the grill's channels and runs off into a removable tray. The on/off knob is also a timer. Set it and it will shut off automatically when the time elapses. Cleanup requires no more than a sudsy sponge on both the grills and the hard-plastic exterior. Overall, the grill measures 16 by 9-1/2 by 6 inches and stores upright.

The easiest way to clean the grill is to have a washrag
or kitchen towel specifically for the job. When the
grill is still hot, but unplugged, dampen one end of the
cloth and fold so that you can grip the dry side.
Then wipe cloth down the grill (in the direction that
the juices flow). The wet part gets hot very quickly,
so be careful! But this makes cleaning a sinch!

I love this grill so much that I bought 2 more, we use is at
least 4 times a week. Everything I cook has come out perfect. I believe for the price this is the best indoor grill on the market.
the best little appliance 2001-09-22
We have a family of four all with different tastes and requirements. This unit is fast, easy to use and clean. We first purchased this item because we liked size and shape. We never thought we would use it everyday. I have now persoanlly purchased 35 of them and given them to my staff and friends.They can not believe how well it cooks everything.
Hinge Pin Brakes Easily 2001-09-21
This grill broke on the first time we used it. The culprit is a very weak hunge that is molded in the grill so that it cannot be repaired easily. Using the grill once the hinge is broken is hazardous; the grill gets very hot and the top flops around. I don't recommend it to anyone even at the drastically reduced price.
