Editorial Review
Taking pictures can be a snap with Samsung's Maxima Zoom 140s camera. This is one of the world's smallest 38-140mm cameras. Continuous shooting, auto focus, and automatic flash results in crisp, quality pictures without a hassle - or red eye! The fill-in flash does the work for you so you can focus on what's really important. Maxima Zoom 140s offers portrait zoom and landscape modes, and is equipped with self-timer. This camera is also available in quartz date (QD) model that enables date/time imprinting.

wonderful camera 2004-11-06
I have had this camera for 5 years and it has worked wonderfuly. This was my first zoom camera. Its size made it perfect to take anywere. pictures Are always clear and bright. I noticed that the camera worked best on 200 speed film. Great camera for begainners that want to use film.

Terrific photos 2003-02-06
This is a great little camera with some features I have barely explored after using it steadily for 4 years, in both city and way out there back country.
The only problem I have had was with the flimsy little plastic leaves that cover the lens when the camera is off. Apparently they were damaged by grit in some of that windy back country, but they were easily replaced.
This camera is so reliable and easy to use, I sent mine to Africa for 3 months with my son, a true photography novice.
I would buy another in an instant if I could find a place that still has one in stock.

splendid camera 2002-03-26
This is a lovely camera, has all the features, and they work wonderfuly. A word to the wise, though. Go to Ebay(where I got mine), nobody needs to pay retail for these guys, they aren't THAT good.

Super camera 2001-12-04
I love this camera. It's very reliable and user-friendly. It's by far the best standard one-piece 35mm camera I've ever had.

Excellent Camera! 2000-06-08
I have to say that this is an excellent camera. It is super easy to use, lightweight, afforable and the photos come out clear and precise. I work in a gallery and I wanted something that was more versitle than my manual Nikon for documenting events, artwork and to use later this year traveling. I feel confident recommending this product for vertually any camera user, both amature and professional!

Review: ... "Click! The No Nonsense Guide to Digital Cameras" is misnamed. It covers a lot more than just cameras. In a couple of hundred pages, it includes using a scanner and Adobe Photoshop Elements 2 to rescue faded, damaged family photos, the basic guidelines to good picture taking, how to use Elements 2 to improve your digital photos, and how to print and preserve your pictures for the ages. White, the author of the bestseller "How Computers Work," knows how to pack a lot of helpful, understandable information in a brief no nonsense book.

Review: "This Camera is one of the best in its price range. It takes beautiful clear pictures and can be used right out of the box, but its worth learning all its features. The included memory holds about 20-25 pictures so I upgraded to 128mb. I reccomend getting a 128mb card and the Sony camera case. Not only is this one of the best cameras in its class it includes decent software and rechargeable batteries that are at least a 20$ value.
HIGHLY reccomend over canon, kodak, and fuji. One more thing this camera has CARL Zeiss lens (if you dont know, great lens) all the competetors have generic lens."

From the Back Cover The megapixel hype
The fact is a camera’s megapixel rating is only a measure of how many pixels (photosensitive sites) an image sensor has…. An image sensor is simply one component of an entire system that produces a digital photograph… So resist buying into the megapixel hype when you’re choosing a digital camera. From Chapter 1
