Editorial Review
The Handspring Visor Deluxe is the first expandable handheld computer that lets you instantly turn an organizer into a digital camera, music player, or even a phone. It comes with 8 MB of RAM, so you have more than enough room to store all your data, plus a myriad of other programs and information. Plus, it features the amazing Springboard expansion slot, so you can snap in a wide range of hardware and software modules and turn your Visor into whatever you want it to be. Moreover, it is plug-and-play so there are no drivers to load. Just snap in a module and it works! It even comes in five great colors - ice, graphite, blue, orange, and green - so you are sure to find one that suits your style, personality, or mood.

GREAT ITEMS STILL!!! 2006-12-05
Compared to the technology and color screen palm pilots and handsprings of today, THis is truley a classic and lasted long! IT's a great item for anyone who loves to be organized (school, business...). And Great Customer Service.

Lasted Four Years - I weep for Palm 2006-03-06
I am filled with feelings of anger and despair as I see the once great Palm Corporation in its death throes. I bought my first Handspring Visor Deluxe in early 2001 for $250 -- had it stolen 11 months later -- and bought another refurbished one from Handspring in Feb 2002 for just $100. The device gave me outstanding service until it died just a few days after its 4th (re)birthday. A refurbished device lasting 4 years! Since yesterday I have been looking for a replacement, inexpensive PalmOS handheld. Unfortunatlely, there is only PalmOne (or whatever they are called now) corporation left (having swallowed Handspring) and the PalmOS has been sold to a Japanese company. The reviews for Palm's current products -- nearly all from longtime loyal Palm-product users -- nearly uniformly slam the products.

I am depressed. I hate the MS PocketPC (or whatever they call the current version) devices -- they are much too complex, they are slow, they are too Windows-like, and they are darned expensive. In contrast, PalmOS devices were snappy, reliable, simple and easy to use, and relatively inexpensive. What more could one ask for?

There seems to be no reasonable alternative now. Should I take a risk with the low end Palm Z22 (and have it fail in two months). Handspring's customer service used to be outstanding. Palm's current customer service sucks big time. Even if the company goes out of business in the next six months (it definitely will be gone before December 2006), I don't care, as long as I can get a decent PalmOS device that lasts the next 4 years.

Thanks for all the good times, Handspring and Palm! Too bad you faded away and left us to be devoured by Microsoft.

The best at this price. Like the color and functions. Mine has latest longer than some comparable higher end models. Life saver when trying to keep a busy life organized. Great optional backlight feature.

Decent Palm Based Handheld . . . 2002-12-02
. . . but fragile, and quality is dubious. This Visor Deluxe is a refurbised replacement for my original Visor, which broke unexpectedly (and had many issues of it's own).

Good basic handheld, works well with Outlook 2000 (with the included Chapura Pocketmirror software). It's been fairly troublefree, with the exception of occasionally wigging out and requiring a hard reset.

Bottom line, it's a good handheld if you can get it inexpensively. Don't count on Handspring support, they charge & they're not that helpful.

A well thought out program, quickly delivered 2002-10-16
This is a relatively no frills PDA that works with my MAC. I lost my other Haqndspring and chose not to upgrade, and bought a refurbished model from this vendor. It came very quickly, in a sealed box, at a good price, and with all the extra equipment that normally comes with a new PDA.. The service was exemplary.

Fantastic, for the price 2002-03-25
This is the second one I owned (first was dropped and screen cracked). Without repeating everone else's reviews, this does what it says it will, is very economical, and is easy to use. BTW customer service is very helpful if you do have problems.

Warning: Additional Items required for use with Windows NT 2002-03-08
Warning: You must buy a serial cradle (sold separately) and load "Pocket Mirror" software from www.chapura.com if you want to successfully synchronize this product with MS Outlook on Windows NT.

Otherwise, it is a great product!

good product 2002-02-20
This is a great device to help you get organized. I bought a refurbished one...

It works well with Outlook.

I never use the grafitti; instead I use the onscreen keyboard. Although I might consider buying the targus portable keyboard which would make this a lightweight fully functional laptop.

This device has helped me get organized and I am glad I purchased it.

WoW! The Handspring Visor Deluxe is the best PDA out there.
Aside from having the lowest price and the Palm os, it's expantible! You can tun it into a GPS, digital camera, remote controll, or cell phone. I've had a Visor deluxe for a few months now and if you don't have one you should.
