Debbie and Howard are celebrating their wedding anniversary. Or so Debbie thought. A special night together turns into a nightmare when Howard lets a man into the house to use the phone. It'll Take You By Surprise!

This movie kept my attention from beginning to end and the entire cast did a very good job. But I was disappointed that there was'nt more of Kim Fields!! I mean, that's why I purchased the DVD!! In any case, if you're a Mekhi Phifer fan, this one is for you.
Great Stars and acting in this unheard of movie. 2007-01-12
I first rented this movie because I was bored one night and the wife thought it looked good for the cover. After watching I was wondering why I never heard of it in the movies. I love movies and this one somehow snuck by me. I see so many "big budget" movies with very little plot and this movie comes and keeps me glued to my seat. How right the title to say uninvited guest when the main charachter turns out to be a criminal and then the plot twist at the end wrps the movie up quite nicely. Looking for a movie with a "who one it?" plot with a twist on the end then look no further. Be aware it starts slow but rolls up quickly into a modern day drama.
More Than Meets The Eye! 2006-12-04
Different! This movie was good for a low budget movie. Mekhi Phiffer and Mel Jackson play against each other. You don't have a clue about the ending until it is near. Silk and Howie don't even give an inkling that they have met one another before it unravels. It seemed that Silk would fall for Debbie because they look like they belong together.
When Silk arrived as the uninvited guest at their home, he instantly fell for Debbi. A black man could not roam another black man's home while his wife goes into the house and does not come back for a while, leaving her nosey black girlfriend alone with her husband who cannot stand her? Nearly impossible! It starts to get good when he goes against Howie's plans and starts to lust after Debbi.
Howie's plans begin to go wrong because he is angry about Silk falling in love with his wife, and her girlfriend gives us an inkling that she and Howie are more than meets the eye. The surprise ending is a mother-for-ya!

I wasn't expecting much with this purchase. I didn't know anybody in the film but it was recommended to me by a knowledgeable friend. You know what? It was pretty cool. Mekhi Phifer has got to get more roles. Mari Morrow is pretty hot. Malinda Williams and Mel Jackson should not be unknown actors! We have to seek out more of their work. But this film or at least rent it somewhere and you will get a very pleasant surprise!
Low Budget? Didn't Notice. 2005-10-19
Phifer was real good in this. He was a bad guy that you loved, and laughed at cause he played it so good. If you like underground movies like this that didn't hit the big screen, and are better than the ones at the big screen sometimes, I suggest Lockdown as well.
Buy this movie.

Ok, To all the people who gave this movie good reviews, you all need to get off your acid trips! My boy bought this movie for us and it's better used as a glass coaster. The movie is choppy and extremely unrealistic -- like another reviewer said. Yes, there are plot twists, and good-looking actors/actresses but their work doesn't help the stupidity of the movie. If anything, it intensifies it.
The sex scenes and dialogue are teasing and tempting, but we NEVER really see anyone naked. The way the wife reacts throughout the ENTIRE movie--total BS!!! The way the Howie (The Husband) just passes her up throughout the whole movie--total BS!!! The way the cop at the door just gets blindsided by Pfeifer with a blow to the back of the head -- in broad daylight -- Absolute garbage!!!
So you have good looking actors who can't act (except Pfeifer, because he's the veteran), a terrible story-line that becomes trite and predictable, and a horrible ending, which is also predictable. What a Piece of (work)!!
If this kind of movie is your taste, then have at it! Knock yourself out. Don't spend more than $5 or $6 for it (including shipping) -- it's definitely not worth it.
Oh, and the review who talked about the black and white issues -- you're too delusional to me -- other than the cop and waiter in the restaurant, there are NO OTHER WHITE PEOPLE IN THE MOVIE. Oh and Kim Fields' name shouldn't even be in the credits.

This movie was so sexy! Everything about it turned me on LOL....The whole mysterious stranger plot was very exciting. The thing I loved most about this movie was it was not predictable and the action continued from beginning to end. The scene on the kitchen counter was very very hot! oh yeah the hot tub was great too...:) This movie is rated R for a reason...I would recommend this movie for mature adults. Very Great Buy!

This is a great movie which I think all people looking for a great drama should watch. It makes you think twice about the person you maybe sitting next to right now. It keeps you focused and into the movie at all times. Don't blink and certainly do not think you can solve this mystery until the movie is over. Always remember the love of money is the root of all evil.

Movie starts off slow but it does have a few twists and turns throughout to keep you guessing....worth a watch.
